Default 427 Trans id

HI , I am currently in the process of building a cobra replica.
I need some help with the transmission. I am trying to locate the correct original transmission. Iknow that it's a ford toploader, But I have not been able to find anywhere what would be the Id number/letters for it . any help would be great Ed

ED B,
Most all the COBRAs carried ID tags of HEH-GXX, HEH-PXX, HEH-BRXX, HEH-TXX, HEH-BXXX and a few others.
The 427/427 COBRAs used 24" transmissions, while all full size cars used the 27" box. The 1964 toploader used a small 4 hole maincase with the small O.D. bearing retainer.
The tail housing for the 427 Cobra style shifters are available for toploaders with the following ID: C60.
There were over 130 models of the toploader, Dan Williams or David McKee can build you one cheaper n better than you'll ever find at swap meets.

HEH BY would be the most common correct tag. Very hard to find.
