When you see the ERA specs, please take note of the fact that the front and rear dimensional width of the stripes are NOT equal.
The width near the cockpit is wider than the width at the nose, likewise the trunk. This gives the visual effect of "looking" or appearing uniform in width, while taking account for perspective distortion, simliar to the way the ancient Greeks did their columns.
