ERA629 Mike I have a roller bearing in my car. There is some play. You have to take into account the heating cycles every time you run the car. The amount the bellhousing is off center on the back of the block. There is a little end play on the input of the trans, you have roller bearings there. You have alot of heat in there so the size will decrease. Call Bob P and ask I don't have a spec. If too tight you could weld the trans to motor if the bushing is steel and not bronze. If you don't have a shifting problem I would leave it alone. Make sure you grease the bushing and input shaft with some hi temp grease. Rick Lake
