Grinding
While driving my SPF yesterday I first noticed a slight grinding noise when I shifted into 3rd but it was slight and only lasted about 2 seconds. Shifting is fine and no noticable other signs of problems. So then (10 minutes later) I pull into my driveway and while I'm in 1st gear, I push the clutch in and I get a solid grinding sound while I'm stopped. It doesn't stop until I put it in neutral. This was about 3-4 seconds and sounded like it would if you tried to shift it without the clutch disengaged. I put it in reverse (no problem) and backed it into the garage. Then I put it back in 1st, drove forward about 15 feet and backed it back into the garage. The grinding sound didn't happen again. I know it's a Tremac transmission but don't know any particulars. I bought it used and it has 4000 miles on it. I had a (shifting) problem with the slave when the engine was hot but you guys helped me out and I bled the slave and solved that problem. Now this! Anybody got any ideas?
