Need advice on Blowproof Bellhousing install costs
Would like to hear from other CC members what would be reasonable estimates for labor and parts to install a McLeod blowproof bellhousing in a small block SPF? One local installer has verified that the easiest way is to remove the seats and pop the trans. tunnel. They also confirmed that on the SB installs the McLeod is superior hands-down with regard to proper alignment out of the box (80% of them). But they use a dial-indicator on all just to verify.
I'm awaiting their estimate (they do a lot of Cobras, specifically SPFs because of their proximity to SPF headquarters), but I don't want this to get too out of hand from a $$$ perspective. I figured that with the parts it should be around $1,x00.00 (excluding any clutch/flywheel parts that may need replacing while they are in there), but I'm not a good estimator on this.
I could probably do the work myself, but it's more a time management issue for me right now. However, high estimates may change my mind on this.
Thanks, everyone.
