Default TR 3550 vs high HP side oiler
Can a TR 3550 handle a 500+ HP sid oiler? Given the fact the car is light and running street tires I'm thinking it would be OK. Thoughts?

Guys are doing it with 3500# Mustangs, I don't see why not. The addition of sticky rubber may change the equation though.

I used to have a TR3550, first was a granny gear! useless, got rid of it and swapped it for a TKO600 with a .82 5th. much better! Shifting is not precise as a Toploader! Oh well. As far as the torque capability of the box, yes it should handle it, it did it for me!
