Default fe c6 trans swap to 5speed help

I just bought my first cobra, I do not know who the manufature is , but I love it. I would like to change the transmission, it has a c6 behind a 428 fe big block. I am not a rookie on mechanics, but I do not know what interchanges with fe big blocks and would appreciate all the help I can get. I have done some searches here and it seems the choices are a TKO600 or T56, my question is what do I have to gather up as far a bell housing, clutch flywheel and linkage suggestions. My pedal setup is just for automatic.
My cobra was supposed to have been made in Oklahoma but it has a texas title and I have tried to find out about it but with no luck, it was built around 1992 since the last owner has had it since 1993.

Thanks again for any help.
David Lewis

Hi David,
I have all the parts for the auto to TKO conversion. What kind of pedalbox do you have? Pictures are always very helpful.

In 1993 Mike made the first conversion of a Ford Tremec to GM 5-speed. It bolts to stock bellhousings w/out an adapter. The FE Tremec, the Mustang adjustable quadrant are originals from Mike.
