Default 7 June BBQ at Valley Forge

Klayfish is putting together a bbq at Valley Forge Park on the 7th of June 2003. Let's try to get as many Cobras/builders over there for a nice gathering.

You beat me to it Roscoe. I'm planning on making a new post over my lunch or early this evening. Thanks for the support, I appreciate it.

I purposely chose a date that was an off weekend for Club Cranky, so I hope the Club can make it down.

Wink T shirt yes

In order to maintain Crankoid status the wearing of the CC T shirt at all Cobra functions is mandatory.

I just learned this from the rules commitee.

Chaplin, maybe Cranky will let you come if you get a Club Cranky tatoo.

Hey Cranky, are there any more t-shirts available if we want them?

Real 1,
Directions will be forthcoming. I'll definitely have them posted a few months prior to the event. It is approximately 2 hours from central Jersey, maybe slightly longer. If you wanted to mapquest it, it is Valley Forge National Historic Park. I can't think of Valley Forge's zip code off of the top of my head, but the next town over is zip code 19460. That should give you an idea where it is.

klayfish

Let me know what I can do to help with the Valley Forge bbq, I live in Newtown Square 8 miles away. If the door is open I can get about 10-12 Cobras ( of all makes and HP ) to come. Who knows maybe the Daytona Coupe will attend ??

Info for the northern NJ Cobras....it's about 80 miles from Chatham - Summit to Valley Forge....and a great ride down Rt. 202 thru New Hope.....and down to the Valley Forge National Park

Bob,
The door is open to any and all Cobra owners and enthusiasts. If you could get that many to show up, that would be great!!

If you want to send me your e-mail address, I'll put it on my list. I've had offers of help from some people, and I want to create an e-mail list I can put together, so those who want to help organize can do so.

Roscoe,

With all the snow now melted, I checked the lawn and I still have that extra hole in the lawn, so if you decide on a Pig Roast at Valley Forge, you are more than wecome to have it.

No sense going out and buying one.

Bud

Hello all,
Everything is fairly quiet right now for this. Not much needs to be done, except promotion, promotion, promotion!!

I plan to get to the park as soon as I can, hopefully this weekend or next, so I can get some photos of our spot to post and look for a backup spot. I'm sending in the permit application to the park and hope to hear from them before long.

Are we missing anything or something we should be doing right now?

Steve

Steve,

Pray for a sunny, warm day ...

Bill S.

PS: I am torn between going to the FFR open house (where the only FFR 289FIA car will be), or coming down to the picnic in the park....Only time will tell which I choose..........

Klayfish....If the June 7 Valley Forge event remains on the agenda we would like to arrange a caravan of Cobras originating from the Long Island area. We can raise 10-12 Cobras for a road trip.
Mind if we join in ??
