Starting PA/DE/South Jersey club...finally.
I've been meaning to do this since the Cobra Revolution held in May. I'm finally getting the ball rolling now that it is cold and the Cobra is about in for the winter.
I'm trying to get a local Cobra club formed. It will be geared towards PA, DE and South Jersey, but all are welcome to join in. I hope to have our first meeting sometime in January. We can discuss how the club will run, events we will attend or host, etc...(also would like to start planning Cobra Revolution II). I for one would like to keep the club fairly informal, with no dues or anything like that. Just a group that can plan some events, make friends, have contacts and such. I may see if we can do the meeting online in a chat room somewhere, as I'm sure it'll be difficult for everyone to physically meet at one spot at one time. If we can do a meeting somewhere too, that would be great.
If you want to join in, please e-mail me your info. Name, address, contact info, car info (car ownership is NOT required to join in).
Steve

Vinny,
Impala SS? Nice. I bet I've seen you and/or your fellow owners at some of the Chesterbrook cruise nights. I only made a few of them this year, but there is always a group of SS that show up.
My e-mail address is Klayfish@aol.com

Yes, I'd like to join. Would like to meet other owners in the South Jersey area, before it gets really cold.
I live a mile away from exit 8a NJ Turnpike. If anyone would like to meet, please let me know. I can be reached here or at Jong@tpsassocinc.com
Cheers,
Jong

Jong,
Send me all your info by e-mail. Name, address, contact info, etc... I'm actually not thinking about doing our first meeting until January. But I'm sure if you wanted to meet some of the members before that, people will be happy to oblige.
Steve

As of 19 Nov, weather forecast for Saturday 22 Nov looks pretty good.
Is anyone interested in a South Jersey drive, starting let's say 1000am?
Cheers,
Jong

As of 19 Nov 1930 est, weather for 22 Nov Sat looks pretty good. According to the weather forecast by AOPA.org, we can expect high pressure over northeast with temps in low 60's. Assuming this still holds I would love to get together with other riders.
Unless someone has a better idea, I suggest meeting at my place (approx 1 mile from exit 8a nj turnpike) at 1000am for a ride through the back roads. I'm open to suggestions for other itineraries.
Note: Klayfish- I will start another thread to announce to greater audience. Incidentally, have you received my contact info?
Cheers to all,
Jong

GCruz,
E-mail me your info....name, address, contact info, car info, etc... and I'll put you on our club list. We just had our first meeting last weekend.
The central event of our Cobra club is the Cobra Revolution. It is a show/BBQ for Cobras and Cobra lovers. Last year we had almost 40 Cobras and 85 people. Search this forum for keyword "Cobra Revolution" and you'll probably find photos. This years' event will be held on June 5th. We're still finalizing the location, but it'll probably be in Washingtons' Crossing Park. Not far from you at all.
Look forward to meeting you soon.
Steve
