Thumbs up [NJRC] Dave Smith is coming to NJ

Greetings all. It has been brought to my attention that Dave Smith of Factory Five fame will be making a special guest appearance at the
January 14th, 2004 New Jersey Replicar Club monthly meeting held at Seifer Kitchen and Bath in Montville, NJ, just one block in from route
46 (west bound side) at 7pm. You do not have to be a member of the NJRC, nor do you currently have to own a Cobra to attend. All are welcome.
So, if you want to take a peak at what the NJRC and Dave Smith have in store for that evening, drop a reply to this thread, so we know how many
guests to expect for the evenings festivities. Also, for those close by, the regulars of the NJRC meet around 5:15pm at the Montville Diner (located on route 46 west bound side). One of the nicest, down to earth bunch you'll ever want to meet. Don't be shy, stop on down for a bite to eat
beforehand and introduce yourself.

Sincerely,

Bill S.

Back to the top for the lurkers. Remember, ownership is not important, enthusiasm is.

Your posts read like an advertisement for Cobra Promotions. It seems like a short time ago someone here was critizised for putting what may have looked like advertisement materials in their posts. Actually I think they referred to it as spam.

From one Juan to another.....

There are dozens of guys with their own businesses on this site that have added something in their signature line.

I don't see a problem with it. As long as they are not taking up all the bandwidth for their own product, what's the harm???

mmmmmmmmm......SPAM!

Juan...

Bill is a supporting member of the club, with a banner ad for his cottage business, as you are.

As such, mentions of your business in the course of normal dialog is quite acceptable to the forum.

Consistent commercial postings by non-advertisers are eventually frowned upon.

Unhappy Re: Advertisement

Juan,

My postings are always on topic (ok, 95% of them) to each thread. I have been a very active participant of this forum for a very long time. When I purchased Cobrapromotions, I added the tag to my "Family First" sig line, as is allowed per the terms and conditions of this website. Yours is the first complaint I have ever heard on my one liner.........Personally, I could see if it was a flashing banner, or animated gif, or something truly foul and obnoxious of some kind.......Guess as a struggling small business person, I need to remind folks that what started out as an embroidery business, is far more than that now. This is my current sole source of income, and I take it quite seriously. Once again, sorry you dislike my signature line,.......

Sincerely,

Bill S

Look. It's a cookbook.

You're right. You can find all kinds of SPAM recipes online. In fact, you can get them right here.

But what if your roommate's online? Or the power's off? Or, worse yet, you're powerfully hungry?

In that case, you might want to have SPAM recipes on hand. In other words, an old-fashioned cookbook.

"The Great Taste of SPAM" is, well, a great one, chock full of big ideas -- many of them state fair winning recipes such as:

SPAM Vegetable Casserole.
SPAM Fried Rice.
Speedy SPAM Dip.
To purchase "The Great Taste of SPAM" for just $3.00, call 1-800-LUV SPAM. For this and other terrific SPAM cookbooks, please visit www.spamgift.com.

Talking

Scene: A cafe. One table is occupied by a group of Vikings wearing horned helmets. Whenever the word "spam" is repeated, they begin singing and/or chanting. A man and his wife enter. The man is played by Eric Idle, the wife is played by Graham Chapman (in drag), and the waitress is played by Terry Jones, also in drag.
Man: You sit here, dear.
Wife: All right.
Man: Morning!
Waitress: Morning!
Man: Well, what've you got?
Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam...
Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam...
Vikings: Spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam!
Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.
Wife: Have you got anything without spam?
Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam.
Wife: I don't like spam!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off.
Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?
Waitress: You mean spam spam spam spam spam spam... (but it is too late and the Vikings drown her words)
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spam spam spam spam!

Want the song
