No thanks.
If folks have to be brand specific, not interested. This has always been a problem with Cobra clubs, don't know why.

Jm,
This is the point of my post here....The original "Joisey Cobras" (a wholly owned subsidiary of the original Tri-State Cobra association) ideas is far better than the NJ FFrogs, which designates a brand, which I am against. Without the assistance of the members who do not own FFR's (and some with FFR's who agree that brand specific mentality is a waste of time and energy), this mentality will be allowed to perpetuate. I like these guys, have even owned a few FFR's, but I realize that they are not the "only" Cobra replica company out there. Things are going to get out of hand if we let this go on....The snob factor will come into play (as I found out first hand at DVSF III), and then there will no longer be a Joisey Cobras, or Tri-State Cobra association........I've rambled enough, the bottom line is, either your there, or your not.
Once again, time to get off your tush and do something about it...........

Bill,
This is one reason why Cobra clubs don't work. At ant event, those with like manufacturers will congregate by themselves.
Just like a coffee clatch of women doing needlepoint. It pisses me off.
If you want me to do something about it, I'll gladly show up with a flamethower (think Pacino in"Scent of a Woman")

Bill,
No thanks here too, got no patience for guys who wanna brag about Cobras.
We don't need another club to hang with, we have 5-6 meetings all summer , we got our own T shirts, we even got our own Club Banner (signed by Phil Remington of course).
What we could use are a few more Cobras owners willing to show us what they got.(on the track)
Cranky
BTW
How about some of the guys who were going to trailer out to Podunk for the annual Cobra sing along changing gears and signing up for some driving instructions. I am sure a lot of them could learn something.

Bill,
OK, I'm in PA, so I don't qualify. Thankfully. But I agree with you in that a Cobra club should not be brand specific. Our Mid-Atlantic club is not brand specific, and we refused to make it that way. Of course, many of our members don't use the internet much, so the group is nowhere near as organized as the Jersey crowd. But nodoby I know of gets snobby about a specific brand. All of us basically say "Who gives a sh*t, a Cobra is a Cobra and it's all about fun". So I support your thoughts that it shouldn't be FFR specific. What did I miss at DVSFIII???
I know I've got to make 2 Club Cranky events to make my membership active. But if I do, can we make more t-shirts? Mine are fairly worn out....

Steve,
I found out first hand at the DVSF III (and now elsewhere) that you and Kara attended as well. Why, because I sold my FFR to buy a Contemporary, why you don't see it is quite obvious.
Everyone else, perhaps as an alternative, we can tag along with the guys from the NE SAAC club:

Best slick track I've been to since they closed Speedway 17

Yeah, John, but...but...but... I don't race my FFR anymore. I bought a Mustang because I wanted to hang out with all the cool people. Besides, one more threat like that and I'll call Johnny Cochran and sue your a$$ for discrimination.
