Jamvan Jim this is why I got the new hood. An ERA doesn't have the clearance for a Novi 2000 Couldn't fit it under the stock hood. I had the supercharger in the R/S in the fender but the 17" tires rubbed it and could not turn right. The 15" could turn a little better but the blower clog drive would throw the belt on coast down. Now I can mount it in the right spot with the intercooler system. As for cobras, YOURS has a CSX# on the frame, That makes it a real cobra Mine only has a CSX# on the block with an ERA# on the body and frame. YOU WIN! Has far as prettier, She is lexus white diamond pearl. There are alot less white ones than other colors except English green. See you on Sat Try and get the hood on and centered. Rick Lake

Rick:
As fas as I'm concerned, it is only real if it has a CSX3000 number, everything else is just an imitiation. Mine is just a little closer to the original than some others.
Look forward to seeing the car this weekend. Weather forecast looks FANTASTIC!!!! Hope we have a big turnout.

Steve,
If it rains or you decide to pospone the CRIII when will you put a post up? Maybe a go no go post by 8:00 am Sat. would be good.

Rick: If you want you can park next to my Cobra. It is a REAL Cobra. Not original though. No problem.
Steve: Can I register when I get there? I may not be able to make it but if I do I was wondering if I can pay when I get there?
My suggestion would be to put it off to Sunday. Weather looks beautiful for Sunday.
Anyway if I don't make it I hope you guys have fun!..

Yeah, the weather does look great for Sunday. Looks perfect. Problem is that we have a permit for Saturday only. And a bunch of us are planning to go autox'ing on Sunday. Actually, it's near the PA/NJ border where we're autox'ing, so come and join us.
Sure, you can pay when you get there if you do join us tomorrow. Hopefully, the sun will be out by time we start.

Thanks for your reply.
Is there room for a trailer? Hate to trailer it but the weather looks dicey.

Rowboy-
You can't cancel. We all may wind up needing your row boat.

As of right now, weather.com shows rain through 3 p.m. in the New Hope area. This may wind up being a last minute call tomorrow morning.

Yeah, weather.com seems to be the only ones hanging onto that lingering rain idea. The local TV stations all say it'll be out of here earlier. And watching the radar, at least at the moment, it looks like the storm is at least moving in the right direction. Staying optomisic.
Once.....just once....I'd like to have a forcast of sunny and 75 with not a cloud in the sky. Is that too much to ask????

Rick,
Nothing to really wait for. We can't cancel at this point. Caterer is already confirmed. It hasn't been raining here for hours. Roads are starting to dry. We're aware that the showers are still lingering in north Jersey, that's why we're waiting until 1pm to get started. We'll be in the park all afternoon, so even if you can't be there at 1pm sharp, we'll still be there. Taking a late afternoon cruise, and very likely will wind up in the park for dinner (grab some pizzas, hoagies, or something). By then, the weather is definitely going to be good. All weather sources say it's going to get better and better as the day goes on.
Besides, I trailered my Cobra for a 6 hour downpour on an open trailer, and it had no troubles at all. If there is still some mist in the air, I'm not worried about it at all.
Sun should be out by noon!!
Steve

I've got blue sky and sun peeking through at my house at 7:30. I think we are going to be fine.

Thinking of taking a drive down too see some cars and meet with people.
Coming from Sussex County, NJ. (not exactly around the corner)
ERA #708 should be done some time in July (I hope).

9:00 AM and it is still drizzling here at the Jersey shore. I will be attending the CRIII but perhaps not until 2 or 3. See you folks there.
