Caravan to Cr III
Is anyone from North / Central Jersey interested in caravaning to CR III. I would like to meet up with the people coming down 287 to 202 and on to Washingtons crossing.

I'm up for it and I imagine Dane will be, and probably Jamie Wheaton too (if he gets his plates by then ). JW, you can ride with me if you don't have plates yet

Count me in guys. Just let me know the details on where to meet. I can hook up with any of you from Morristown south.

sounds good...pray for SUN.
BTW, not to hijack, but I saw a black Cobra on a flatbed going down Speedwell through Morris Plains into Morristown a few days ago. Anyone know who this is? What type?

The most direct route to CRIII from Morristown area is; 287 south to exit 17, on to 202/206 south, continue on 202 south after the Somerville circle, to 179 south to Lambertsville, then cross the river there or at Washingtons crossing.
So where do you guys want to meet along the way?
Dane,
The only black Cobra I know is the "Real1" black with black side pipes.
Mike

Do we want the most direct route or the route with the nicest drive? We should look at a map and see if we can chart out a good course for the drive down.

I didn't get lost, Dane got lost. I just had the unfortunate happenstance of following him.

I am seriously considering the CR3. Will depend on some things but I have a tentative plan to go with my gal. I'm near the Giants Stadium and would be interested in hooking up for the ride down.
Keep me in the loop. usrowboy@comcast.net

Chappy don't pick on my friend Dane, you could have said; " Dane are you lost" and then said: " follow me"
This year follow me.

I checked the map and it looks like the best driving roads are west of 287 and south of 78. Based on that, I propose meeting at exit 24 of route 78 or meeting at the Bagel Garden (where we met last year for a cruise) on 202. If we use exit 24 as a meeting spot we would cruise thur Hunterdon County and if we meet at the Bagel Garden we would cruise thur Somerset County, with the final part being in Mercer County. We would cross the river at either Lambertsville or Tices Corner.
So where do you want to meet?
Mike

UUUGGGHH, I dont like the way the threads going...someone hijack.
I was on a "way south" Jersey road, I could swear I saw cousins holding hands, and you want to blame me when the roads we were on dont even show up on the map.

Was that ERA 649 I saw just entering Red Bank Saturday 9am? Silver, black pipes? Looked like an ERA.
You looked right at me in my black Avalanche as you passed me.

Ziggy, if you want I can meet you in morristown first...its a little more central. The bagel Garden is just past the somerville circle, its not hard to get to, but it's pretty easy to miss. I watched Chappie drive right by...with 8 Cobras lined up in front. and I'm the one that needs a map.
BTW, you need to get familiar with the roads west of 78. They are some of the best driving roads in NJ.
