Default Build Mentor Wanted in NJ

Hello All:
I am a novice builder in the early stages of construction on my car. I was wondering if there is anyone in Bergen County that would volunteer to be my mentor? Looking for guidance, suggestions and basic quality control throughout my build (mostly in engine and brake systems). The basics of my kit are:
  • 428FE (single carb, mech fuel pump)
  • 4 speed top loader
  • Ford 9 inch
  • 3-link axle
  • Hurricane Kit
Unlimited beer, scotch, soda, food (wife is greek..good cook), etc await!

Thanks in advance for your charity

http://tristatecobra.freeservers.com/

Thesed days we just post here and on the midatlantic forum when there is something going on.

I am near Ridgewood, NJ. If you are unfamiliar with Ridgewood, I am very near Paramus.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm about an hour from Paramus. While I can't play tohard with Autokraft and a 302 HO..I'd like to join some "drives" with the car. Is there an active group or more ad hoc?

Khan,

Can not necessarily mentor you, however, if you need a second pair of hands or someone to work through a problem let me know. I live over in Midland Park.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

Jamie

Thanks Jamie! I will let you know as I am going through engine mock up stages right now which requires me pulling the engine in and out of the frame a couple of times. Fun stuff!
