I had posted this on another forum and have been encouraged to post it here as well. Breakfast is free and a beautiful cruise through the country is laid out. Please e-mail "rhedden at earthlink dot net" if you plan to attend so we can make sure we have a bagel waiting for you:
-----------------------------
This Sunday, June 10th, Kathy and I will host the 3rd annual
Cobras on the Mountain. We have reserved Pavillion "A" at Schooley Mountain Park
http://www.morrisparks.org/aspparks/schooleysmain.asp just outside Long Valley, NJ for the 2007 breakfast and cruise. Continental breakfast will be served around 9:00. Cruise will take off about 11:00.
While it's rain or shine, I doubt we'll cruise if it's raining.
We think we'll limit the menu to bagels, juice, coffee and such, since I ended up eating ALL of the leftovers last year and just about wouldn't fit in the Cobra.
For directions to the park, click on the link above. Please note, the lodge is at the top of the hill - that is not Pavillion "A". To get to the Pavillion, go to the park entrance and come all the way to the back.
-UPDATE 6/4/07-
Here's the latest:
- Kathy and I ran the cruise route yesterday and will have directions with us on Sunday. The route includes a lunch stop. The cruise goes through some of the shaded mountain roads of northwest NJ. Pray for good weather.
- If you have a nav system, plug in "60 East Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ, 07853." That will put you at or near the entrance to the park.
- We will have bagels, butter, cream cheese, coffee cake, coffee (regular and decaf), OJ, and some kind of fruit. Bring your own liquid refreshment for the cruise.
