Cruise nights in Somerville, N.J.
Guys:
Anyone interested in showing up in Somerville on Friday nights weather permitting? Its probably one of the biggest cruise nights in the country (at least thats what someone told me Hot Rod magizine said). The public loves cobras and when the weathers nice there are alot of cars that show up. There is also a DJ and plenty of places to grab dinner. The night usually begins around 4:00 ( to get a decent spot) and goes to 9:00 pm.
Thanks.

Looking forward to joining you and others on Sept.7. The drive is 2 1/2 hrs but I have heard it is worth it . I used to live in Morris County so the territory is familiar.

Thats a schlep!
Bob:
2 1/2 hours. Wow! Thats a schlep for a cruise night. If you are serious about coming down let me know and I will try to save you a spot. I would hate to see you drive all that way and not get a parking spot! It usually gets packed by 5:00 pm. but thats before labor day. Things tend to slow down a bit after that but not much. Try to get there early-no later than 4:00 pm.
Let me know.

For a Friday night cruise you may want to check out JR Tobacco on Rt 10 in East Hanover. Only the first Friday of the month (tomorrow). 3 bucks buys you a buffet in a private lounge with soda, beer, chips, subs, pasta salad, etc. Plus you get a bag with a couple of cigars, a clipper and matches.
I was there last month and they were turning away people. You should get there between 5:30 and 6.
Unfortunately, my social director (the lovely and gracious Rina) has made other plans for me.

CRUISE NIGHTS
HEY, Is this the Bob Marshall that I met in Wildwood? Owner of a silver beast? It's Dawn....short, redhead with the plumb colored monster........I just saw that you joined the club on 8/2...I must have been busy that day.....I didn'y join until 8/4!!! Looking forward to seeing you on Friday 8/10 at Faulkner's. Bringing Tony and his 514. No one believes that's really what he has in there! Give me a call or email me and we'll iron things out.
This is for Roscoe,
I have spent the last 2 days reading threads...I loved the ones in member's favs about tags, age and jobs, I read every single one.....your name sure does show up alot......should I be getting to know you better so I can get in with the fun crowd? Or maybe John McMahon? Any info on get togethers in the Tri_State area would be welcome. Do you guys do Wildwood?
Thanks
Dawn

Dawn
Forget about McMahon, he already has "the Contessa."
Roscoe, on the other hand, is the real swinger in the group. Just be sure to compliment him on his choice of "fine" cigars and he'll be your friend forever.
Is that your real name or is this "Don" in drag???

Just keep readin those threads over at the Tri State Forum. We may have something coming up this weekend.

cruise nights
Tim,
I think I'm afraid to ask about John's "Contessa".....his car I hope. I haven't named mine yet except to call her "the beast".
Yes, Dawn is my real name........I hope I look better in a skirt than a guy named Don............
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So Roscoe.........if I don't like your choice of cigars, is that okay too? I just remember I grandpa smoking swisher sweets (i think that's what they were called) He died of lung cancer last August 22.....10 days from diagnosos he was gone......just thought I'd throw that in there because I'm a caring kind of gal.......don't be offended.............
since I am so new to the site and I'm stilll looking for things forgive me if I don't always know what it is you are speaking of or where to find it. It took me 10 minutes to remember where I was to answer this......

Dawn,
The "Contessa" is a very lovely, yet sometimes very demanding women in John's life at this time........As for Roscoe and his Cigar habit, he lives life the way he wants to.....Why should anyone of us be different............

Dawn,
I know you are new to this, and we welcome you with open pipes . But walk softly. Remember I moderate this forum so you don't want to wind up like Pauli...remember him?
Clemenza: "Oh Pauli, you won't hear from him no more!"....or,
"Leave the gun....take the cannolis!"
