Default Would you do it again?????

For those who bought a D&D Cobra would you do it again? If so what changes would you suggest to Don to improve his product.

I for one would have no problem in purchasing another one from Don. I felt I got very good value for my money. The only suggestion I would make at this time is if the body could be made a little thicker. The 1/4" thickness has proven to be a challenge on some things, maybe a min. of 5/16" in the thinest locations. Maybe rolled edges around the cockpit and fender wells would be nice. I have run into a few air bubbles coming to the surface since it has been painted. The body sat for a good three years before it was painted as well I baked it before it was painted and still a few have escaped. Nothing major just a couple pimples showing up in certain lights.

It's possible he has made these improvements since I bought my unit.

Default Yes!!!

I am very happy with Don's product. I haven't painted it yet but I have about 3200 miles on it in flat black primer with lots of days out in the sun. There is no sign of any fiberglass problems. The only thing that I would suggest would be for the suspension to be set up with HEIM joints rather than the rubber bushings and, which I think that Don has done, a different steering rack location to get rid of bumpsteer. I have welded in the Heim joints in the front and it allowed me to square up the suspension and adjust the track width for no tire rub(275 45 17 tires) I have yet to do the rears but I have the parts. Don's speedway eng. sway bars are a great set up and have allowed me to corner weight the chasis. In closing I would not hesitate to buy from Don again.
Cheers Greg
