Default TTR EVO 5 Turn Key Minus

Hi Everyone,
Recently, I went looking locally for a painter for our new Demo/Track car and I found a really great Hot Rod shop about an hour away from us. After discussing pricing and looking at their previous work we decided it was I good idea to have them do the job. I had inquired about the company doing complete Turn Key Minus painted rollers (every thing, but engine, tranny and driveshaft) and they siad they would be interested. I went back to the office and worked the numbers and figured out our pricing. Now I am only gauging interest and this is not yet an option for the EVO roller, but how does $29,500 + options and delivery sound? That would include our Tilton 3 pedal set-up (with balance bar) at no charge with all systems (wiring, gauges, brakes, fuel lines, body parts, wheels, tires, suspention, windshield, wind wings, seats, bumper mounts etc.) installed. The interior would be aluminum, but we would offer carpets as an option. You will find our list of current offerings here: www.turntenracing.com . If you have any questions or comments please email me or post them here. Keep in mind we are still feeling this out so nothing written here will be set in stone.

Thanks,

It is a nice car. That price would place it in competition with Backdraft and others. Many of those sales are done by the dealers, who show customers cars, walk them through the process, and handle the details like engine selecton and installation.

It might be a better question for dealers/builders if they would be interested.

My questions would be about the quality of the paintwork and body work detailing (panel fit, ripples, etc.) and if that would be available as an option. Painting and panel fit (which requires primers) is one of the problems with kit cars due to the restrictions on home painting now in place.

Hi David,
I am having a Display Car done which I can show customers. It's the car with the roll bar I posted earlier this week, sorry about not getting back to you yet. The body work, paint and panel fit of the shop I am using are first rate. I was hoping to get that car to Carlisle, but it won't be ready in time. I was thinking about making the paint work and option and leaving the rest of the build to the customer as you suggested. This would allow us to offer the roller in 4 stages. I will consider it. Don and I are still going to keep the company small, about 5 cars a month, but dealers and builders would be welcome.

Hi Dave,
The TTR EVO 5 with the DOHC motor is the roller posted as the Display/Track car. I am having a 4.6 DOHC motor and Tremec tranny package put together by one of our suppliers and will be dropping it in as soon as it’s done. The package will be available to our customers as an option as well. The engine and tranny will be a complete "Ready to drop in unit" and will be priced around $13,000. The engine will be good for 450-480 h.p. and will come in either injected or get this, carbureted versions. I guess there is a 4.6 manifold designed for use with a carb. Anyway, my car is going to paint in about 2-3 weeks and then it should be finished about a month or two after that. It won't make Carlisle, but maybe London, we'll see.
