Bill, if you have point make it. Picking which original to copy has not been the problem. Picking any original to copy is, as is the faithfulness of the details. I believe Don said the current body is a copy of replica.

Joe, which are the details of the 289 FIA that you find appealing? Doors, rollbar, nose, tail, dash, etc.?

Mike, are you and Don going to be able to get the exhaust tucked under on your Evo5 chassis?

The nose and the cut down doors along with the forward brace rollbar. I seem to have a thing for the small plexiglass racing wind screens and raydot mirrors.

If we decide to do this we will have to make room for the exhaust. That shouldn't be a problem.

"Bruce’s body is very faithful to the original, but it may deviate a little I'm sure."

Huh? You've got some splainin' to do.

I have seen the FIA body in pictures only and have not done a side-by-side comparison with a real FIA. I am told it is faithful, but I have not confirmed that. "but it may deviate a little I'm sure." means it "may" deviate. I will get pictures posted when I can, but this post was to gauge interest and find out members thoughts. This post was to gauge interest, just like they are doing with the FFR guys on ffcobra. I have already received calls about building turnkeys and rollers using the body, which I am getting closer to green lighting.

Hi *13*,
The example car will happen if we decide to do this. For now we are finishing the EVO 5 display car and working on other projects. Keep in mind we do not have a huge operation so we do things as we can. I have a customer who may do the build and document it for us. The chassis will need some changes to the front track and modification for the exhaust.

Default If I wanted another Cobra I'd......

WOW!!!!!

McBruce, I think it looks great! The Tits!!!!!!

Mike,

Personally I think you should offer this body, it would set your Turn Ten Cobra apart from the rest. With the adnvances you have made in the chassis, offering a more track worthy setup, it would only make sense to use the mock up shown with the Lemans top.

I LOVE IT!

Let's say it is offered in a non-public way for now. We are willing to sell a rolling chassis sans body with all of the necessary changes. Discounts may be offered for the first few because we would want the beta builders to document the build and tell us of any fitment problems if they arise (i.e. door latching to frame). I will also offer a Turnkey minus car based on our EVO 5 chassis, but initial buyers may have to wait as we work out any build issues that arrive. That is about as clear as I can put it for now.

Mike
Will the FIA model (assuming it goes into production) have the reverse opening trunk also?

Hi Larry,
Well that is one of the details that is not hard to make work so I'll say "yes". Again, we have some details to work out, but I can see this happening. It would be great to get a turnkey minus order or find time & money to build a display car soon. It would give us a chance to build the entire car and work out little things and get the details correct.

O.K. here goes

When I say roller I mean our current roller packages. The price for a "Base" package with suspension, brakes, windshield, IRS, steering, panels, would be around $19,000. I still have to do the numbers. A roller "Plus" package would be around $24,000. That would give you the "Base" package and almost all of the finishing parts (See our site for the current 427 bodied EVO packages and you will get the idea). We can also do a Turnkey minus at an introductory price of around $30,000, just add engine, tranny and driveshaft. The reason the first Turnkey minus cars will be below normal pricing is that we need to workout the build process on the car. I will only give out this price for the first few orders. Options will still be at our current pricing. I will work out an exact roller of turnkey minus price for anyone one who is interested.
