Default EVO 6 Chassis Picture

Hi Guys,
I haven't had a chance to post in a while, things have been very busy. For those who have had an interest in the new EVO 6 chassis, here is the first picture I have. This is a customer car; there will also be a chassis at Carlisle this year. I will be posting pricing this weekend, expect a base kit (suspension installed with IRS) price around $14,000.00. It is designed to be a combination of all the most requested features we have had on our EVO 4 and 5 rollers.

Some key features:

Huge trunk area.
Interchangeable parts with late Mustang and FFR.
Lots and lots of leg and interior room.
IRS is standard and comes on the base kit.
Base kit arrives with a complete suspension (optional billet control arms)

Thanks,

Mike / Turn Ten Racing, Inc.

Hi Roger,
No this frame will for the 427 style cars. The FIA will not be publicly released until we can sort out a problem with our body supply people. I know there has been huge interest in the FIA and we will keep persuing a solution. You would not believe the financial and political B.S. that happens in the replica business . We can build FIA style cars on a person to person basis and I am open to discussion with potential customers off-line.

Hi Mike
What engine and trani are you running in the Evo 6 in the pictures. Also, on your website there is a picture of a Evo4 at Carlisle,Pa 2006. Did you guy's build this car all dressed up like that or was it customer built? What motor, trani and rear went in it? What was the cost to set that one up? If you want ,private message me. Thanks

Hi Garage10,
I believe that EVO 6 chassis is running a 351 and a WC T-10 as Dinobyte pointed out. It is being assembled in Quebec for a customer in France. The EVO 4 that went to Carlisle last year was a turnkey customer car. He asked for a very beautiful and complex interior which was designed and built by our supplier, D&D Cobra in Quebec. The motor is a 351W with NOS and a Tremec TKO transmission. All EVO 4 and EVO 6's come with IRS, but this one had an optional gear ratio upgrade and a beefier differential. That car had the addition of the gun-drilled sway bars and a big brake kit as well. The seats, dash and console were all made with very high grade leather and custom stitched. All of the dash and indicators were one-off CNC pieces and the car was built to show quality. The body is gel coated on the bottom as well as the top and the metallic color powder coat was a four stage process. All of this work added up to a completed turnkey cost in the low sixties at the time. TTR and D&D love to do custom work or make custom changes to our kits for customers. If you have something in mind, let me know.

Mike, just curious to ask with all your projects moving forward if there are plans for a "Street Style" car with under car Exhaust in the future.

Thanks Mike
Would you happen to have any more pictures of that car?
Do you know what time frame D&D would realistically take to build a similar car(Not quit as fancy) ?
Thanks

Hi Roger,
Well, let's put it this way. We seem to have found our niche. Building and selling a kits as a standard package is starting to fall off a bit. 80% of the orders that we get are now custom work or modified kits (built to order based on the current frame offerings). We can build almost anything so a street version is not a problem, however we will probably not build a standard street kit.

Hi Garage10,
Yes, I actually have a lot of pictures of that car. I can post them here or email some to you later today. If you are talking about building a similar car, we would need to map out the details (engine, transmission, CNC work, interior finish) before I could give you an accurate build time, but I would say it's a 4 - 6 month wait at our current project schedule. If you could send me a list of the parts and finish you would like to use I can narrow it down a bit more. mj_duell@turntenracing.com

Hi Roger,
We normally complete the turnkey minus with dash, lights, gas cap, seats, carpet etc. That normally runs around $28,000.00 with paint and no options (swaybars, big brake kit, etc.). This one would come in around $24,000.00 without the engine and tranny, but it's not complete.
