Setting up webers
Hi,
Anyone know of someone in the Greensboro NC area that can set up a webers carb system.
Thanks,

I don't know of anybody in Greensboro. However, Dennis Olthoff (outside of Charlotte) is good. He has done a lot of work on my car (including tuning of my 58 mm IDAs). He did a nice job of dialing in my IDA carbs.

Good luck.

If you want to do it yourself, there is enough of us here to help talk you through the process. Just tell us about your set up and how things are behaving now.

Weber setup
Hi, On right side of engine carbs vacuum is up and heat temp on headers is good. On left side of engine vacuum is all the way down and header temp is a 100 degrees higher. Any ideas.
Thanks,
Phil

You have an unbalanced condition bank to bank.
The bank with high vacuum is more efficient.
The bank with low vacuum has the throttles open further than necessary to maintain the idle speed you have now.
In effect, one bank is working way harder than the harder.
What tool/s are you using for carb synchrinisation?

Your going to need to get those balanced before you can do any tuning. The good news is that, with the right tools, its pretty easy.

Hi Thanks for all your help. Have only had the car a few weeks. It was like this when it came. I am not very mechanical but I have a friend that's a great mechanic. He has offered to help. What tools does he need to set it up. Any special instructions he needs to know.
Thanks again,
Phil

You will need a Sychometer. Thats probably spelled wrong but you get the point. I have an extra. Send me a PM or e-mail and I will send it to you. When your finished, send it back or I'll sell it to you. You mechanic will struggle without the tool.
When you get things balanced, the fun will start with the jetting!
