Default A proposition...

Hello,

I am a long time fan of the original Cobra, and have been desperately looking for a way to afford a FFR kit for several years now. I am getting married in September, and it has always been a dream of mine to drive away from the reception in my Cobra that I built. However, it's looking a little late for that now haha! So, I was wondering if any of y'all know of a company or anyone who rents or would be willing to rent a Cobra for an evening in the Raleigh area? I am a very responsible and respectful driver. I am a Lieutenant in the Navy and an F/A-18E Super Hornet pilot based out of California right now, hoping to receive orders back to Virginia Beach very soon. I grew up in North Raleigh, and miss it every day! Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. I hope the day I can be a proud owner like y'all is not too far away!

Thanks,
Erik Sink

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials, and thanks for your service to our country! I don't yet have a Cobra to rent, or lend...or drive, sadly, but let me just ask one question.

Has the "future Mrs Eric" riden in a Cobra yet?

I got married in September here in the Raleigh area many years ago and I remember how hot it was.

I just don't know how easily I can picture a blushing new bride shoehorned into the cockpit of a Cobra in her new wedding dress, which is melting on the sidepipes, and beautifully fixed hair blown all over the place, with her make-up melting down her face in the Raleigh autumn heat along with perspiration and exhaust fumes.

Egad, hope I didn't just ruin the dream. Just check with her to be sure this is a shared dream.

Just remember, when you get transferred here to Oceana, we've got a new rule here in Virginia Beach. There will be NO landing your F18 in apartment complexes from now on...

Thanks for your service!!! I hope you find your Cobra.
