Morrow Mountain State Park tomorrow (April 17)

With the weather forecast looking so awesome for tomorrow, you owe it to yourself to take an afternoon off for a drive! And if you’ve never been to Morrow Mountain State Park / Lake Tillery / the Uwharrie National Forest area, you’re definitely in for a treat.

12:00pm
Meet at Morrow Mountain State Park overlook
49104 Morrow Mountain Rd, Albemarle NC 28001 is the address to the park entrance. Once you’re in and go a little ways you’ll come to a fork… bare right and it will take you up to the overlook.

~1:00pm
Go for a drive around the park / lake / local Uwharrie area

~3:00pm
Back to Morrow Mountain State Park
This time either at the lower (Lake Tillery) parking area, or back up to the overlook again - just depending on where everyone wants to explore.

~4:00pm
Head for dinner at Sagebrush in Albemarle
All times are tentative; biggest thing will be to eat early enough that those traveling from afar (Taylorsville and beyond!!!) can be heading back before too late.


Some of us will be meeting in groups to drive in together.

If you want to meet up, or have more “heads" wanting to go than you do seat-count, we’ll see who all has an extra seat open.
