Weber fuel pressure / gas on manifold?
I just got my Weber 48 IDAs back from the tuner after installing them. It runs like a champ, wow what a difference. Love it. No filters.
I get back from the 2nd of three rides and the top of the manifold, specifically in the crevises of the driver side and passeger side edges, are filled with gas. It is not wet every where, but specifcally from the center two carbs.
I am trying to maintain 3psi of fuel to my Webers, and just realized my regulator can only maintain down to 4psi.
What do you think is causing the gas? Everything is tight.
What regulator are you running?
What fuel pressure are you running?

Did it do this before the tuning?
Centre two carbs?
I'd be fitting the filters back on, it could be from "standoff" above the carbs (fuel reversion).
I run a Mallory 3 port bypass regulator set at 3psi on my gauge.

Obviously check all the fuel lines tithe carbs. One of my carbs leaks a tiny bit also. Probably needs a new gasket or seal. On the list of things to do. I'm running 3psi

It is not coming from the top of the carb, there is no splash from the bottom of the hood. Again, it only did it once. While gunning the engine, nothing leaks, everything is very tight. Triple checked.
I just got it back from the tuning (these are the first drives since the installation). And the thing runs phenomenal. With the filters on it runs like a dog... So for this discussion, lets forget the filters.
What else? My tuner mentioned something about the butterflies leaking fuel upon shut off and dripping down the carb? This is a brand new set up, only leaked (1) out of (3) times with about 75 miles on them thus far.

That's about where I expect mine leaking also. I've also checked everything else. Just haven't had time to deal with it the last couple weeks.

I cannot find my damn cam specs on this computer, I will post them tomorrow. The thing runs like a champ, I mean very responsive, very quick to react, very strong. Looks and sounds great, deepens the tone of the exhaust to FE proportions, very deep tone with a great idle. I loved it before, but I love it even more now.
Tuned by Eric at Voss Performance, he did a great job.

Check the float chamber drain plugs, sometimes they will leak, be carefull not to overtighten. Secondly the floats may be sticking at shutdown causing fuel to drip out of the main discharge in the secondary venturi and then pool on the throttle plate and seep out of the throttle shaft bores. May have a little dirt in the needle & seat allowing it to leak instead if seal tightly. Check all the AN fittings too.

I noticed this type of leak when the fuel was hot and I stopped the car. I would bet it is leaking at the throttle shaft. If you have an electric fuel pump, shut it off before you turn the car off to use up some of the fuel in the float bowl. It is not good to have raw fuel run into the engine.

Dean's point about the electric fuel pump is a very good one. Allow it to use a minor amount of Fuel within the float bowl without it being replentished by the pump, the fuel level will then be lower inside the carb and it will be less likely to spill over internally.

Me personally, I'd put a Y piece at the firewall and run two fuel lines, one towards each bank.
