WEBERS, need help PLEASE !!

I'am rebuilding a set of 48 IDAs & can't find pump springs.Talked with Pierce, they said, Weber will not releace them. Anyone had this problem? Have any springs for sale? I'am working with Italian carbs. rob

I recently experienced the same problem with 48 IDA's on my '72 Pantera. With the help of Jim Inglese, who provided me with the important accelerator pump spring physical dimensions, I solicited and received quotes from various different springs manufacturers here in the U.S. To spread the initial set-up costs that each of these manufacturers required, I purchased a large quantity from one of those manufacturers (even though I only needed four for my own car). They arrived at my home in mid-December (month and a half ago), the quality is great, and they look, fit, and work just like the original Weber springs.
