Make absolutely sure everything is syncronized correctly, the inter connecting links are adjusted and that the accelerator pump cams are lubricated sparingly along with the roller that the accelerator pump cam rides on. If the rpm fluctuation still continues verify that the throttle plates all close completely. Lastly the leather bearing seals may be leaking air, if they are dried up they will need to be replaced or replace the bearings with the sealed type. You can sometimes feel a leak at the bearing while it is idleing.

what kind of lube do you use on acc.pump, iwas thinking about unhooking the linkage and starting over, sometimes they will also drain gas out the bottoms and flood the top of the manifold ,i turn down the regulator down to 2lbs.carbs are syncronized, when it would flood out i woud see gas come out the thortle shaft is that what your talking about.

The needle /seat are bad (not sealing) or (more likely) the floats are set to high allowing fuel to drip out of the auxilliary venturis on to the throttle plates and then it leaks out of the throttle shaft bores or collects in the the manifold runners.

Lube: Lithium grease or if you can get some Synthetic grease. Bicycle shop.

Rick,I got home and checked for leaks around the manifold with carb cleaner and had one on each side, could this be the problem and fix before going into carb's.
