Default plugs!

hello i just installed the 48 ida webers on my 347 stroker, 205 cc afr heads , MSD, 514 hp.
i had a set of autolite app 3924 but they look low quality and rather fouled .Should i run a hotter or colder plug..? looks like it need a hotter plug.
Any one out there have a great plug for a high performance small block with webers..?
cheers paul.

Generally the amount of fuel the Webers dispense will make the plugs somewhat darker.

I use standard Autolites in just about about everything. They are high quality, durable, and inexpensive - on sale at Advance Auto this week.

Hi.

I,d say- in a 500Hp+ 347, it sounds like a colder plug is the right thing. (Generally , higher performance, compression etc- a colder plug). NGK BCR7ES (?- am not 100% on the part number) is what I'm running. 2 grades colder than "standard" NGK5.

If you have the Webers well tuned, you should have very little fouling. I finally found a setting letting me cruise at 2000 to the track and 7500+ on the track without any fouling and good A/F- numbers. If you do some jetting changes, it will probably get better.
