48 Ida's 800 to low.
Idle should be about 1000 rpm.

There is nothing wrong with an 800 rpm idle, or even lower.
A well tuned Weber 48 IDA engine will pull strongly from 650 rpm with no lugging. A high idle is a bandaid & tells me the tuning is not optimal.
