Newbie
Currently driving the other glass car produced since 1953; a supercharged C6. Am looking to get a Cobra, but have much home work to do. I'm impressed with the Backdraft and SuperPerformance models, but also need to get educated as to the small block 427 to the big block. Probably need to buy a completed car, since I've become somewhat lazy in my old age. I'd like to meet a few people in California at their events and get answers to all the stupid questions that newbies ask. Would appreciate any inputs.

Hello & congrats about wanting the best kick in the pants car you could ever drive !
First of all, there are no,...."stupid questions". Do a lot of research, like you are, to figure out exactly what you want & need and take your time buying or building one. There are several manufactures that have high quality and some that are not.
If you want to chat over the phone I can give you my opinions, as it's always nice to talk rather than typing.
Send me a pm/email with your number & best time to call. Here's mine.

To be honest, I don't know much about A & C, maybe someone else here will have information. You should contact these owners that have a thread here on CC.
brand new guy
Personally, I would stay with well known kit manufactures.
What are you looking for in a Cobra ?
How much do you want to spend ?
I can help with your engine & drive train questions and other members as well.
Do you want a small or big block ?
Mild or wild ?
Carb or F/I ?
etc......

Well looking to make power for my buck and the ac kit is rite in my budget and the car will be drove I'm the kind of person if its mine its used a lot so can't justify a 20 or 30 grand kit to drive a lot I have found some great deals on some bb 429 Ford and 454 Chevy going carb do to fi is out of my league in wiring capability
But back to questions need pros and cons on sb vs bb on the street going with a manual transmission don't like the auto also will be going solid ford 9 inch with 373 gears would like to make 400 wheel horsepower plus will be adding 100 shot of nitrous for ****s and giggles
Will be street and drag strip raceing it here and th ere so I guess more wild then mild on power like to get were I'm going fast will be running radial tires on rear at all times. Maybe slicks at track for the bottle

Still looking for a car
Sure like the Coyote 5.0 motor and 6-speed combination. Looks very good, but doesn't sound like a 427 Cobra.

Not too sure what sound you are associating with a "427 Cobra"...as 427 is referring to the "Body Style"...however, take a look at this link...

Haha!...I wasn't saying that "I personally love the Coyote Engine"...was just throwing that sound bite out there...not to mention...bang for your buck...its a great, well powered, and reliable engine option!
