Attendees and Spectators,
Be sure to bring your digital cameras this year! Dan LePage of the River City Shelby Club will be heading up photo and story coverage this year at WSCB. He's also been asked to do a little side coverage for a magazine. We have a little project in the works brewing to take as many photos as possible of the people and the cars, and plan to do something with it.
This includes the best of your photos too! Dan will be shooting and collecting photos, names, and information from as many attendees as possible, and pulling it all together. The collection will include "all the best of the best" photos and many photos from many of you for the entire weekend; not just the cars - we want all of them. The more people shots, the better! Hehehehe.
We took a look at last year's video, and realized one of the best parts of the video itself was the still shots at the end. A good portion of the good photos came from the attendees last year. I've asked Dan to see what we can do to put together a giant WSCB still screen show DVD with more people, more cars, and detailing it out a bit with names and captions. Dan's excited about doing it. Let' make it silly, fun, and something we can all record together and look back on.
Request to attendees and vendors:
Local City Clubs: Before you depart to WSCB, would it be possible for many of you coming from local clubs to take a group shot from your city/state and submit them by email. (Your 2 best people/car club photos, club name, city/state)? The more faces the better!
Vendors: Submit group photos of you and and your shop prior to WSCB if you can. Make it you and your sign in the background preferred, with people standing near it or under it would be great.
Helper Photographers: If you wish to participate early on, please forward your email address to
wscb@comcast.net if you are interested in providing photos to WSCB capturing shots of your local clubs, road trip to WSCB, and if you want to submit your batch of WSCB photos to Dan LePage. I'll be forwarding your inquiries to Dan and he will start corresponding with you between now and May 18th and Dan can hook up with you at the Bash to go over the basic gameplan for the weekend.
Inquiries, email to:
wscb@comcast.net
Let's see what happens. Comments welcome here!
Thank You. DC
