It is the event of the year, but 2007 seems to be even way better.
There is going to be so much to do and see - meeting all our friends and new friends.

Rosemarie and I are booked and paid.

Thank You everyone. VP/Registrar/Treasurer Bob & Linda indicated to me about 10 a day coming in at the PO box, so what you see here on CC in replies of confirmation is not all of them by a long shot.

The main goal is to get the 200 cars/spots filled and to see what we are going to do with vendors this year. Vendor notification went out last night. If some of the vendors procrastinate by giving verbals of "yes" and waiting months to send in paperwork like a few of them did last year, its possible they may lose their anticipated vendor spots to more attendees/cars who really want to be there. This could allow us to go from 200 to 250 cars easy. I have to turn in the plan/permit to the City early with them included or excluded. I'm ready to exercise that option if it makes sense to do so. Certainly would put the earlybird vendors at a bit of an advantage with other attending buyer/spectators coming to WSCB since they might be the only vendors there. Friends, let them know the need to respond ASAP with completed paperwork if they want to be there.

Cindy, all -
Dan The Man is wrapping up the picture DVD now. I asked him to have that done by Thanksgiving; he's getting closer. There were over 5,000 photos from last year, submitted by 10 different photographers. The editor was not able to do what we needed for us on time, so now Dan has been doing it himself. It was getting too complex, so I just told him to make it basic and get all the photos on there, and that's what people want to see; not any fluff show graphics, etc. Also, we got sidetracked for four weeks having to sort through everything for a publication Co. doing some coverage on WSCB probably coming out in Jan '07.

As for posters, there are a few different options to consider for '07. I commissioned an artist who does original looking Cobra car artwork who does some nice vintage stuff on shirts you see all over in the Cobra world now days. This may become our '07 poster. Now that registration is kicked off, I can start concentrating on these types of things and wrapping up some city permit hoops and dips I'm having to maneuver through at the moment. Thanks for the ideas.

It's all good though.

Duane,
You didn't happen to end up with any extra '06 posters did you?

Default Poster etc

Thanks Duane....I know your a bit busy as usual, so it was just a thought. I really like that one picture of the bash 06 cars on the top floor, and the rest of the small ones. Great pictures! But any posters that come out will be cool, have yet to see one up there I didnt like.

Thanks!
Now for the long, rainy, slow winter to get by..................I am a very patient person

Hi Mike,
No '06 posters left. If it goes as I hope it will, and if the artist I've been working through ever gets it wrapped up, the '07 version might be kinda neat. If the art turns out good and its worth replicating, I may run another batch.

Hey Cindy,
Dan is trying to wrap up the photo disk and had some other distractions, with an editor that flaked on him. Once its ready, there will be lots of pictures to make posters from; you guys can choose and make your own; whichever ones you like. There were over 5000 photos in totoal from 10 different photographers to sift through and produce a picture DVD. Kind of overwhelming for Dan, while he is building his new FFR MKIII Cobra trying to get it ready for the next Bash, and its cool - trick EFI setup, 315s or 345s on the back, all stuffed under it, pretty cool!

Checking out for a while to go help Linda on the rather large pile of registrations coming in.

I was out of town on business....I'm late....BUT registered for 2007 and track day. The checks and registration forms are in the mail. I can't wait. Last year was GREAT...this year will be better. I'm going to have Tom at FE Specialties rebuild my motor with more HP...not that almost 500 HP was not enough...600+ should be better. I hope to get the project started in Jan or Feb of 2007 so it should be finished in time.

See ya all there

Tom Mareina

P.S. I'll keep last year's number 187 if that's OK

Hey Tom,

Please send your Track Day car number request directly to me. You should have received an email from Duane with my address. I don't want folks mixing numbers requests in with this thread as it will get screwed up again.

See you soon, John

NOTE:
Folks who are returning to Track Day, please email me directly to confirm your numbers. I am trying to give you guys first choice.

Thanks, John
