Kristen just throw the kids and the old man in the truck, that car in/on the trailer and c'mon out! This is by far going to be the best one yet. Theres going to be VINTAGE cars and planes here!!!
Of course, knowing these guys who knows what Bash 08 will be like!!! It just keeps getting better!! FunFunFun!! I am definately planning on Run'n'Gun, my kids are older than yours so not as easy to throw em around.....just get them to help drive!!! Your missing some grand Cobra times!! Actually I have to make sure no one misses any school during ski season so by Bash time its all cool to ditch then. Pick the appropriate times carefully to ditch!

hmmm, tempting, for sure!!!
F250- only holds 5.... we have 4 kids..... who do I leave behind???
well #2 would probably ride in the cobra, in the trailer!!
great idea!!!!
my hubby turns 50 during the bash..... 'Hey, honey, let's go to Reno for your birthday!!! Surprise!!! '
considering he's never driven the Cobra, not too confident on this idea... guess i could give him a wad of money and he could gamble for 5 days???

4 kids?? You are a bravewoman. well lets see...how old is the oldest? Old enough to fly to Reno? Cheap fares made well in advance. See, I am working to cover all the bases. You need someone to helpwith the driving.
OR.....you fly out and just hang out with us all for the long weekend. That could work, rather than the long drive. It would just suck because your car is still in the big state. The airport it close to the great place we're staying, one of us could pick you up in the Cobra (me) or the F250 (my son)(got one too) gotta love Fooord! If you have issues, we have answers! This is going to be the bash of all bashes I have the feeling!!!
Seriously, I understand May is a chaotic month for us too, the school thing, the sports thing, man there is nothing but stuff going on and I only have one in HS to worry about. The other one is the support vehicle driver!!
Sorry Brent you'll probably want to kick me over into a rambling talk thread instead...I'm trying to keep it along the guidelines here!!!

yeah, I'm thinking NOT the kids... just the hubby.... fly out.... bum rides. Hey, I did it in London last year. (6/05)
my oldest is 15, almost 16. not driving the cobra or truck or anything right now!! (15, 13, 10, 7)
and, yeah, I'll jump outta ya'll's thread--- at least it IS in WSCB forum, not just sitting there in All Cobra Talk.
I still wish I could go.
Not this year, I'm afraid.
ya'll have fun and post lots of pictures.
Kristen

the 1/4 mile drag is my FAVORITE!! and the road course is a close second. I pretty much sucked at the autox. I finally broke under 13. seconds on the dragstrip. got in as many runs as I wanted. 10 or something. awesome!!!!!!!!
thanks for letting me hang around...

The main reason I want to go to RunNGun is for the drag thing. (I know Administrator dudes, but I am trying to PROMOTE the bash here ok?!!
Ok, back here Kristen. Was that your name in the stats for the 1/4mile thing? There was only one Kristen, had to be you!!! Great job!! This WSCB thing has become a staple in our schedule....sort of start the summer off right. The kids love it, I love it, and I am so glad weve made all three. Wouldnt miss it for anything. Actually its been a huge factor for us as a family thing, tell ya about it sometime. When the last one goes off to college , its all about a US roadtrip . But then I would just want to take them anyway so what the heck. see ya at runNgun07!!

Kristen:
Don't dismiss the spousal "fly out and meet you there" , it's what my wife did for the London Show last June while I drove the 8 days round trip towing the Cobra. She said there was no way she was going to be stuck in the truck that long getting bored out of her mind while I pushed to get the day's driving done.
I don't blame her in the least for feeling that way, heck, I felt that way and I was driving.
She may well do the same thing for the WSCB and I'm sure you could work out something similar.

a Dragstrip!!! YEA!!
Ok Thudmaster...what do we have to do to get one out here? I love quartermiles!!! We used to go to the NHRA's alot in Pomona, and also Bakersfield, but we need a track that is centrally located up here in NoCal or NOCentral CA. OR Fernelly needs to get one going. It would be nice to have one near our homes, of course and preferably near or with a road track. Tell me who to contact, what Congressman do I have to hound write a gazillion letters to.....I will do it!!!
Kristen, never say never. Every time I do, I end up with a foot in my mouth, luckily one of my own puny ones!!! I'll think positive thoughts for ya just in case!!

Hey Cindy,
You have mail.
I did hear a rumor that Jamo may sponsor the parking "Ramp Races" again! (I don't think you will ever live that down, Ron.)

Not trying to complicate John and the rest of the WSCB crew's lives BUT there is a drag strip at Reno-Fernley Raceway. It is not sancioned by the big name associations so you can race cars so long as they are street legal. That mean our puny a** roll bars are OK. I know that the plans are already pretty well set for this year but maybe drag racing could be included in 08.

Yes... thank you Dick,
There will be no drag racing at the 2007 Track Day. Duane and I have discussed this issue several times and both agree, it's not as easy as it may sound. There are logistical and safety issues associated with the idea as well, given Fernley’s layout. You really can’t have the road course and drag racing happening together. Also, we hate to see some of you breaking things before you get a chance to drive.
We are open to the idea but not for 07.
Talk soon, John
