I had an aluminum head that had a "porousity" in the casting, and the water was escaping its' passage into the combustion chamber...of course it was a head that Ford Motorsports no longer made, AND the old heads had the diagonal exhaust bolt pattern, so MORE money had to be spent to configure the headers to the new, horizontal-bolt pattern, so I had to buy TWO new heads....!!!

I still have the heads, if you REALLY want to take a look!!! lol !!!

Talked to Tom at FE Specialties and the car is DONE!!! He is doing the finishing touches ( Tom says the car runs awsome)and I am scheduled to pick it up Tuesday morning the 15th. I should have about 500 miles on it prior to the bash for breakin. The engine was completely rebuilt (used my block and Heads) and a new TKO 600. Can't wait to drive it. See ya all at the bash. If anyone is in the area and wants to stop by and check it out, on Tuesday, I should be there around 1000 am leaving between 1100 and noon.

Tom

Got the beast back yesterday...IT RUNS AWSOME!!! Tom Lucas at FE Specialties did a fantastic job. The engine dynos at 614 HP and 548 FP torque. It ran great on the trip to Quincy from Sac, about 135 miles. Still have some driving to do between now and track day...should be able to get about 300 more mile on it by then. Can't wait to get it on the track.

Tom
So, THATS what Tom was doing instead of putting in my transmission!! You'd think that there were only like 24 hours in a day or something.

Slackers!!
