Default Snake & Eggs - April 24th - CANCELLED/WEATHER

Mark your calendars for a Snake & Eggs on 24 April 2010 and a shop visit. (Rain date May 1st)

As many of you know "SnakePower Performance" is no more…Its been replaced by Motorsport Auto Service, a new service and installation company located behind D&M Motorsports and they are having an open house… The new owners name is Mike Iuro, and he has asked me to invite the Windy City Cobra Club (And anyone else interested) to visit his new shop. He’ll be offering free safety inspections. I think he’ll also be doing Spring oil changes too for those of you who never got around to it last Fall. Probably some food and some door prizes too. More information as the date gets closer and more details become available.

Default OK - Here is the plan....

April 24th, Motorsport Auto Service Open House.
Mike Iuro, the new owner of Motorsport Auto Service (formerly SnakePower Performance) welcomes everyone to get their car on the lift and take advantage of a free inspection. Oil changes will also be available for those a little behind in their spring car services routine. Mike plans on providing pizza, soda and snacks for those that attend. Feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested or looking thru the D&M car inventory. Plan on the open house running from 11am till around 1 or 2pm. WCCC members are welcome to meet at my house starting around 9am. I’ll provide some coffee and coffee cakes. We can sit around till about 10:30 or so then we can leave from here to attend the open house. Please post if you plan on attending so I can order enough coffee and rolls…Members can check their WCCC membership roster for my address or contact a Club Director to get a copy.

Wolfie,
Are you back on the road?
How about Chris?
Is he on the road again too?
I know you were both broken last fall...
Hide the small farm animals....

Unfortunately, every waking moment is being spent on trying to finish my Cobra. So I have to decline the invite to the open house. I hope to soon be taking part in some Cobra activities.

Enjoy the event.

A tempting offer no doubt. Perhaps I would trade an apple for a snake ride.

So if anyone is in Chicago is planning to drive to the event. I live 1,600 North and 2,300 West let me know. I would sacrifice a Cobra working day for some fun!

Blas, 45min..... That would be hard to refuse. But when one embarks on a single handed endeavor, as I have, that would be changing the rules mid stream. Could I live with a rule change? I would have to have a personality change too and that's tough teaching this old dog new tricks. But never too late to learn. I guess!

You can see my garage & my build in the photo show link below.

Arthur,

Just spent twenty minutes viewing your cobra build photoshow and was impressed with your dedication and mechanical expertise. Anyone with your commitment should be "tearing up asphalt" in lieu of spinning wrenches.

Guys,

If haven’t done so, take a few minutes and view Arthur’s build document; it’s really impressive. We need to get him on the road and cruising with us.

20 minutes!!! Glad you have the patients, thanks for watching. I know it needs editing, I'll get to it when the wrenching stops.

From all the emails and posts, it sounds like if the weather is good, all of my neighborhood will be awake from the "THUNDER" parked in the driveway and street.

I'm hoping to make it to the open house, but will not be able to make it to "Breakfast at Blas'".
