Any information would be appreciated.

The Chicago AirShow is awesome!!! It is well worth the price of admission...FREE!!!
It is very crowded (1.5 -2 million during the weekend shows) but you can locate yourself anywhere from Oak Street beach (south end of show - awesome turnarounds) to North Avenue beach (show central) to probably Belmont Avenue/Irving Park Road (north end of show).
The main show is on Saturday and Sunday but they practice on the Friday before. You could go to Navy Pier on Friday during the practice day (when just about everyone else is working) and have a great time. Navy Pier has a ferris wheel, sailboats, cruise ships, restaurants, etc...
If you haven't been to the Chicago lakefront before, it is absolutely amazing, especially during the summertime! The Shedd aquariaum, Adler Planaterium and the Museum of National History are incredible...You will have an awesome time...The AirShow will further enhance your visit!!!
