So there will be only 1 Cobra at the Volo event this year?
No current WCCC members showing up for a hour or two - pre-club picnic ???
How about all the ex-WCCC members who can't attend the Club Picnic?
Volo has always been a great event for the club with one of the largest member turnouts...This could really put a dent in their attendance next year...
Unfortunate....I really hope some non-WCCC members decide to attend.

Volo used to be a great show. Last year we had a REAL cobra there. It was suppose to be up front right where you enter, but they make it take a second seat to a 350 Mustang making some unhappy campers. In addition, the show used to be FREE now it $15 to go there. Last year the food was horrible and there prices were too high for what they offered. Also last year WCCC planned the club picnic a year in advance for Aug 7 long before the Volo date was set. I'm going to the club picnic, there well be a lot of cobras there.

20 bucks for an hour or two is too much! Golly, that's almost 2 cases of cheap beer or a case of good beer!

Last time I was there we had to wait in a long line to get to the check in and pay are money and a number of Hotrods ahead of me we starting to over heat and as it turn out they only had one person taking the money and he was as slow as possible . When I ask to be parked together and save some space for members inline behind me they blow me off. I went to one of the managers and explain this to him ( I,m not sure he was not the owner ) he was an ass . Sorry I,m not going back .

A few years ago, someone special was to be there that I hadn't seen or talked to for a couple years----turned out he wasn't there---it was only a ruse to get more attendance--I think they have used up all the ways to intise real car people in to look at a few cars that aren't anything but replicas of some movie cars

Guys,
I've been scheduled to work August 7th from 11:00 until 5:00PM; therefore unable to attend the Volo show or club picnic.
Have fun and be safe.

My son and I were 1 of the 6 Cobras at the Volo show. I didn't check this forum befor the show and didn't know about the picinic. I guess I better joint WCCC - which we were going to do at the show- so i get informed... Anyway after a few hours we checked the forum and saw the conflicting dates and realized why the turnout was so weak. It is getting expensive to go to the Volo show - we spent over $60 with food and we ended up leaving around 12:30 when I realized the date conflict. I hope to meet up with the club here soon.
