Lake Shore Drive Cruise / Snake & Eggs Sun 10/31
This Sunday 10/27/10
A rare opportunity!
Cruise Lake Shore Drive followed by great Snake & Eggs
We’ll meet in Bucktown (Chicago) between 7:30 and 8am.
in front of Casimir Pulaski Grade School at 2230 W. Mclean Avenue*
(1st street north of Armitage, 2.5 blocks west of Damen, 1.5 blocks east of Western –West Bound One Way)
Depart at 8am south-east on the Kennedy to the Ohio feeder ramp
Through River North to Lake Shore Drive
South on the drive turning around just south of The Museum of Science and Industry
Heading north all the way to Bryn Mawr,
Heading south to Irving Park Road
East to Lincoln /Damen to The Lincoln Restaurant
4008 N. Lincoln Ave. (just north of Irving on the east side of the street)
(the parking lot is on Irving just west of Lincoln at the alley. )
We should arrive there before 9am. The parking lot should be mostly empty at that hour.
* Casimir Pulaski Grade School AND Bucktown is easily reached just off the Kennedy expressway (90/94) at either the Fullerton or Armitage exits (south/east bound) or either the Armitage, Webster, or Fullerton exits (north/west bound)
** Please RSVP to this thread or to my e-mail by Saturday morning so that I can let the restaurant know how many are coming AND so that we don't leave anyone behind at the start.
Of course you can still come if you don't RSVP but it would be helpful...
***SORRY for the late post. I couldn't get logged on. Then, I kept getting disconnected. !!! whew!

I'll be there after the race. I'll be bringing Nirmit and his wife as my dates.

May be a bit chilly in the Cobra that early, I'll have to dig out my snowmobile suite, or just drive the other "c" car. We'll try to make it oneway or another, lets hope the weather men are wrong and it will be sunny and no rain.

Chance of Rain is 10%.
Low to mid 40s in the city at "meet" time. Probably colder in the burbs on the way in.
Gloves!

Warren, "PAST DUE" was really worrisome in your teenage years for your girlfriend, I bet!

Sorry you guys couldn't make it. For those of us who did, the weather was cool but clear.
We made our own thunder. ...havin' some fun on a variety of roads. Great fall colors, glistening water, waves crashing ashore, stunning views of the sky-line, flocks of ducks and geese. I saw one owl running parallel with us. Great architecture ...and probably a couple of surprises for folks not familiar with the area.
Everyone said that they loved their "Snake 'n Eggs." And we watched some in-car video from the Group D winner at this years's NASA National Championships.
btw: Michelle and the kids say high. They earned the heard charger award for keeping up the back of the group driving in the Jeep.

We should do a round two in the spring! I missed out! Food was good and thanks for the beer. Needed to get my carbs up after the run! LOL!
