Don't know if it would have saved them, but those seat harnesses have to improve your odds. I'd be afraid to drive my car without being strapped in. Very sad. Lots of grief to follow.

We've Seen This Way Too Often...
"They drifted around the corner, and as they drifted they saw me and overcorrected." That same "over-correction" in to oncoming traffic scenario took out a man and his girlfriend (who was driving) last year in CA. I'm curious as to how much experience behind the wheel the driver had.

I have been considering the modifications needed to have a second roll bar and harnesses, but I ALWAYS wear my seatbelt, no matter how far I'm going, even to pull around to the front of the house from the garage. It may not have affected the outcome, but it could have saved their lives.
A sad day.

Renlady, please wear your shoulder harness also. We need them both.

Thoughts go out to the families. Drive defensively and get on it on the track or autocross ..not the street. Your first wreck in one of these may very well be your last.

Very true statement, you won't get many chances in one of these. Use your head.

I would if I had them. My car only has the wide lap belts (even my 1967 Jeep had shoulder belts). Hence the comment about modifying the car to have harnesses.
