August 28 - 20th Annual Depot Days Amboy Car Show

This Sunday is the Annual Amboy Car Show from 6:30 to 4:00 PM. This is a big show. Weather permitting, we will meet as before at the Petro truck stop and have breakfast in the Iron Skillet Restaurant at 6:30 AM. It is located at I-39 and Route 38 Exit 99 . If we arrive together we will be parked together. I spoke to Garth Dallam a director and being there 20th they are planning on a big turn out this year. This show is the best organized shows I have attend. Please post if you are planning on attending ASAP .

I wish you would have mentioned this earlier, so I wouldn't have scheduled the trip to Galena.

This is a pretty cool show which I have attended previously. I assume you will not be attending the Saturday run to Galena

Have fun at the show, while we cruse the back roads with the best terrain in Illinois.

Maybe we'll catch you on the way back from Galena on Sunday, if we stay overnight.

I've decided that I'm crazy enough to try to do both. I'll be crashing in Rock Falls and joining you in the morning at the Iron Skillet. The car will need some cleaning after a day of cruising.

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn just past the Iron Skillet. As long as I can wake up in the morning, I'll be ready to go. :-)

Had a great time looking at all the cars and hanging out! Seven cobras in total, but we ended up parking in 3 groups. It was great to meet more club members. Congrats to Bob and David for winning 2nd and 3rd in class!!
