Cracker Barrel is good for me.
I had a nice time the other day at Jelly and Jam. Sorry about the hole shot on the way out.

The Kilt has much better "food" and gets my vote.

I am in and I will be bringing my daughter along. Now all I need to know is when and where.

The event is on for Saturday April, 14th (Not sure about a rain date – see below).
Looks like this will be a decent turn-out so long as the weather co-operates. I count at least dozen or so cars that plan on showing-up.
The Twisted Kilt is located at:
1055 South Weber Road
Bolingbrook, IL
(630)-759-8458
This is just North of 55 on Weber Road.
They open at 11:00am and we would plan on arriving between 11:00 and 11:30.
For those that want to drive as a group I will plan on being at the O’Hara Oasis south bound at about 10:00 or so. That Oasis is at about mile marker 48 just south of Irving Park. We will leave there at approximately 10:45 to 11:00. (Let me know if you are planning on meeting here and we will wait for stragglers) .This plan should put us into to the Twisted Kilt by 11:15 or so.
As for the weather right now they saying partly sunny with a high of 72. That all sounds very nice. However, they are also saying ‘scattered showers’. They are saying about the same for Sunday. We may need to reconfirm once we find out how scattered those showers are expected to be. If Saturday needs to be postponed looks like Sunday could have the same issues. So let’s wait with crossed fingers and see what it looks like….

Rich, what will be your route from the Ohare Oasis, do you have a map or GPS, wouldn't want to see you get lost. I might just pick up the pack along the way, although if you traveling 294 S to 55, I will not join you, but meet you, since I will travel 355 S to 55, unless you're coming this way, or maybe I could get to the Kilt a little earlier and corral some parking spots for a dozen or so cars. I know we'll have a great turn out, everone is aching to get the season started.

I had planned on attending, but my wife's Grandfather passed away today and the funeral is planned for Saturday at 10am. Tilted Kilt sounds much more enjoyable, but family first. Next time.

So sorry to hear about your grandfather-in-law, Kevin. You're family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I might be able to join Sunday if Saturday is too rainy.

I find 355 to be a very bad road to ride. It makes my car bounce like I was driving on a 'washboard'. It probably has to do with the wheelbase on my car. I think your car maybe a little longer so you probably do not get the same effect.
At anyrate I would prefer to ride 294. So if you could get us some parking spaces I am sure it would be appreciated.
Still we need tro watch the weather

The weather reports that I have heard are ‘iffy’ to say the least. It almost sounds like some parts of the area will be fine and other parts will be getting rain. I probably live on the most eastern fringe of the area. If it is raining at my house it will probably also be raining to the west and on most everyone else.
I say this only because we may run into an issue where some people will not have rain and will want to go; others will not want to go because of the rain in their local area.
I do not feel comfortable making the call for everyone else. I guess we will need to wait until tomorrow and see exactly who wants to do what………
There is a reservation at the Twisted Kilt so…………..
Stay tuned

Why not just make it a rain or shine event?

I agree with Blas, come rain or shine, Cobra or daily driver, we can still get together and plan the next event. Sometimes Mother Nature can surprise us and the day will turn out great.

Fred
Is that what 'rain or shine' means?
I always thought it meant if it rains it is off; if it shines it is on!!!! Stupid me.
So I agree, I will be there no matter what. If it is rainy I will be in my Jeep & I am even willing to drive on 355.
If is it sunny I am in the Cobra & 355 if a no go.
I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow
Go Bears!!!
