Potential New Member Introduction
Hi All,
My name is Nick. I spoke with Blas on the phone yesterday, and I am interested in joining WCCC.
I have wanted a Cobra since I was 14 (1984), and I hope to pick up my first Cobra ever on Monday or Tuesday.
It is an ERA 427 Street which was a meticulously built by the original owner, and I was actually shocked that he decided to sell it.
As soon as I find out all of the details of the car, I will post them.
Hope to meet you all soon, and I also hope to contribute to the Club.
Thank you,
Nick

Welcome Nick!!!
I've been a WCCC member for a few years but don't get to attend many of the functions. I live about 150 miles South of Chicago so that puts most of the events out of my reach. But it's a great club! Excellent members and all are more than willing to help out when needed.
Get your car, join the club and enjoy the whole experience!

I am one of the directors and will send a PM to you and we will get you in contact with Mark or Rich.
I will be posting a Snake & Eggs breakfast for Nov. 3. Watch for the details.

Hi Nick! Welcome to the club!
I'm also nearby in Brookfield. Am hoping to get out for a couple more drives before the cold weather sets in.

Hi Kate! We are neighbors...I do not think I can make it to a meeting (breakfast) until maybe January due to work/wife's schedule.
Should I speak with Blas about dues and what it takes to apply for membership?
I'll be on the road today:

NO, Don't speak to me about WCCC club dues.... I'm just a little old member these days... The current WCCC management will draw up the required paperwork, gather the names and contact info of your friends, co-workers and family. Get your credit rating, blood type, medical history, etc. But I believe you won't be allowed to join because your car is the wrong color - it's blue.... IF it was RED, you'd be a shoe-in for membership... 8-)

But it is a fabulous shade of blue! But I'm partial to blue, even if mine is silver. Interesting side pipe configuration. Does it make the car noise softer or louder?
Hope you get some good drive time in before it's time to store them for the winter.

Great looking ride, hope to see you at some of the events, Blue is the only color for a Cobra! You'll see that there is a Blue / Red competition between us, and you have made the right choice!
Look for the post on the Holiday Party which normally happens in February, this would be the time to sign up and join the club for the next season. Although you are always welcome to join at any time.

Thanks Everyone....
Well, since my wife has to work, I think we set up a sitter so I can attend the breakfast/meeting. I could not attend the December event, so this was my best opportunity.
Should work out...see you soon

Woo Hoo! Another "no sidepipes" car! I no longer stand alone. Welcome to the darkside, Nick. We'll see you at the events.
