Default Ok Ozona...I'll Tell them!

Hey guys! The unload party at Bill's rocked! That new body looked fantastic! And then the cops showed up!

"you boys settle down now..." Ok that wasn't what he said but it was close.

Bill thanks for the food and letting us mess up your garage. We went from trailer to customized Home Depot buck in about 8hrs I think....(Beer was involved).

Thanks Bill!!! It was a blast!

Hopefully the neighbors didn't mind too much and the NPD will leave you alone!

Who was driving that viper powered roadster? Who built the car? Is it a Classic Roadsters? Inquiring minds ...

Rich's Viper powered E-M. Don't know rich's last name...
Got a ride in it. It has 315's on the rear wheels. Like riding on rails!

Ok about the cops...only one. He pulled up and said he got complaints about noise or speeding. I don't realy know...he figured it was us cause we were the only kit cars around. WOW great deduction! He told us to slow it down. I wasn't paying a lot of attention because I was praying Dave Rodak was not going to be barreling down the street while the NPD was there. He left and about 2min later we see Rick driving dave's car...They told us they saw the PO while coming in. We told them what happened...blah blah blah end of story.

The others can give their points of view...

THANK YOU EVERYONE!

I really appeciate all the help with the car.

A special thank you to Rick, Steve, and Sid for helping thrash the buck together.

Rick even brought his extra cordless drill.

ALMOST everyone missed this shot. An extra thank you to Rick and Sid who didn't.

Here's the in progress:

Here's up on the buck:

It sure was fun hanging out with everyone, we should do that more, cobras aside.

I think I've met half the neighborhood already and the car has been here for maybe 30 hours or so.

Thanks again!

Bill

Question

Hey!!!!! I don't go barreling anywhere!

I always drive in a safe and courteous manner. No street racing or exceeding the speed limit here... in fact... I don't think I've even been into the secondaries yet. I'm a waxer don't you know?

I think the NPD just wanted to see the cars... I'd have offered him a ride if I was present. Unfortunately, I was doing some PR work for our hobby when he arrived. Both RickyRace and I commented on the "once-over" he gave us as we quietly and serenely passed him. Now... if he'd have stopped us... well, I'll let Rick tell you that story!

Question

BTW... how did the NPD find Bill's house? Did he follow Rich? Or was he just slowly cruising by?

It must have been Rich's fault... he was smoking up those 315's!

Dave

P.S. What's up with the Doritos on the burger?

Loud exhaust was what we figured. We did have a viper V10 and a 427 there.

I think that the neighbors were a bit nonplussed with the numerous "Kenny Bernstein" style burnouts in the street by Dave and Rich...

Chips on burgers are normal where I come from...we also marry our sisters.

Dave, thanks for the PR ride and letting me drive your fine machine. And the only way you weren't into the secondaries is if you wired them shut before our ride. Dave's car puts your eyeballs in the back of your skull. A real torque-monster and totally reinforces my decision to go big-block. As for the cops, it would've been a hell of a chase cause I don't stop for no cops-I can't go back there. ( (just kidding been watching too many car chases on "Cops").

BTW: Bill the car looked great!!! The race is on--so far your a body buck and a few parts ahead of my build. Let me know whenever you need a hand.

HemiCuda? This is a SPF with a Southern Automotive built 427 side oiler! I don't need no stinkin' secondaries for a HemiCuda!

Obviously I'm biased on this subject, but there is no substitute for that big-block torque feeling. It's addicting. It's exhilarating. It's the only way to melt tires!
