I talked to the owner of Strats in Villa Park.

He said he'd be happy to have us a lot of car clubs use his place to have meetings and shows.

He's a great guy and a Car guy.

All we got to do is pick the date and it's as good as done.

What do you guys think?

Pretty good haul for us northern boys! Anything around Schaumburg, sort of half way for everyone? If not and Strat's is where everyone wants to meet, count me in. Probably be to cold to bring the "snake" anyway!

Hello Everybody,
I got the numbers for Staks and HubCaps and will make the call in the morning. The problem with Saturdays around now is that it is the only day to get the chores done. With church and all Sunday is just for relaxing and talking about cars. IMHO anyway. I am open to a date. I picked October 19th so we can have another meeting later on. I am still planing on having a Christmas / Holiday get together but not until later. I was concidering a week night but with the long drives that some will have, that might not be a good idea. Keep in touch.

It's actually quite nice in Chi-town right now.
78-81 today not too bad.
But they have a saying here in Chicago,
Don't like the weather? Stick around it'll change soon.
I've been living here all my life and I can tell you that usually it's either cold or hot.
One day you wake up and discover it's time for coats, jackets, gloves and such. A few months later you wake up one morning and it's gonna be 80 and time to pull out the shorts again.

Can't make a Sunday if the Bears are in town - They are in town on the 26th.
The 19th is great (They are on the road and do not start until 3:30pm).

Since no one can decide, I'm officially declaring the 26th as a day for people to get together. We'll do it at Strat's in Villa Park. If the weather is nice we'll bring the cars, if not, we'll meet for a bite to eat. I know the 26th doesn't work for everyone, but by the time we figure out a date, I'll have grand children! We can always plan more dates...I hope.

Located at 231 E. North Ave., Villa Park

That's West of 294 And East of 355 on North Ave.

If the weathers good I'm bringing my car.

Bring some ideas for any car club stuff you would like to do!

A good place for the meeting is Road America October 18 & 19. Thats where I'll be. Speedseekers is having there opentrack sessions. It's open to all ! In fact this will be the second time I will be on the track since Bob's party back in August. It is a total blast ! I have not run into anyone from WCCC at these events which is sort of sad because it's so much fun, and getting these Cobras out on a track and pushing them hard is a good way to get to know each other and the cars. Anyway, WCCC members may want to consider such an outing next spring for another Road America open track event !!

Hello Everybody,
We are going to meet on Sunday October 26th @ 12:00 Noon.
The place is Strat's and this will be an offical meeting. I think we need to talk about the winter party and what events we would like to see next spring. I think a couple of track days are in order and a spring Poker Run would be great. We should also thing about some of the week night meetings maybe some north, some south and some in the middle so everyone can attend. Please come with some ideas. I would like to see something about this meeting on the web sight. I will be in St Louis that weekend but will get the VP to run the meeting.

I know a lot of people that can't find work.

And there is alot more that lose their homes to the bank.
