Winter Get Together?
Ever since Bob's party (which was a blast), I've noticed only a couple of members who are actively participating in events. I understand that people have schedules. Since the club seems to be in slight disarray, I was wondering if a winter gathering would get us on the same page. The group needs to sit down together and decide what types of events we should be planning for. Obviously posting on this website is only getting a few respondents, and OUR website doesn't really work. I propose meeting in a place (restaurant or bar) WITH the officers to see what direction we should go.
Was it fair when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor?!
NOW WHO'S WITH ME?!!!

Eric,
Sounds like a great idea to me count me in.
You got any place in mind?
Somewhere centrally located?

Get together
Eric,
WOW !!
I thought you would have a few more responses
to your post looks like nobody's interested?
This is sad.
When and where are you thinking?
Maybe Hubcaps, or Somewhere in Elmhurst?
How about Strat's on North ave? In Villa Park?
Well let's look on the positive side.
We got three people that want to go !!!!
Anybody else?

Bob said that he would go too. He's even up for another day at the track if we hit an Indian summer. Buffalo Wild Wings in Elmhurst would be a good place too. Unless there are objections, Elmhurst or Villa Park would be centrally located to have the event. I say we get a head count first, then we'll decide on a place. We have 4 so far.

If you guys are running around Saturday you can come by and laugh at my wrench turnin'.
I haven't been as involved as I have been spending most of my time wrenchin' on the beast getting it together.
My wife and I both had a neat time at Bob's get together.
I'm planning to have the car on the road in the spring. That said, anyone know a good fiberglass and paint PRO?
Regards,
B!ll

The Paint Spot in Addison did my cobra. Their number is 630/543-7111. Tell Vince, I (Erik) sent you. Come see my car if you want. I constantly get compliments on my paint. Best part of all...he's cheap! If you were at Bob's, my cobra was the Candy Apple Red one with the ghost flames.
Since you responded to this thread, does that mean you would be interested in a winter party?

List?
We don't need no stinkin list ! Don't you guys sleep?
No seriously, we need to set a time and place.
Eric are you listening?
Weekday or weekend?
A Saturday afternoon perhaps?
To help all us married guys get out of the honeydo's?
How about all meeting at Strat's on North ave or Manheim
on a Saturday afternoon on Dec 6th?
It's a fast food joint, or we can do hubcaps again
but they fill reservations early so we need to know soon.
Where is Mark our Commander in Chief?

too maney/too spread out
For years we have been trying to get a club up and running, the problem that I see is that there are just to maney of us spread out almost a100 radius. maybe small groups joined under the WCCC banner. I would be glad to host a group of guys up here in the McHenry area, over the years I have helped alot of cobra guys with there projects and that is where the enjoyment is for me.
R&G,The Fling,The Northwoods event, these are all well run events with something for everyone. A great club to look at is the Great lakes people they have agreat group.
I have said too much, I'll keep looking over here to see what's going on. Any body going to R&G stop by and have a beer. Rich

Meeting
Hello Everybody,
I think that a meeting is in order. I could not make it on Dec 6th it is my anniversary. How about if we meet Sunday, October 19th at HubCaps? We can start at about 3:30 and be home for supper. A second date could be October 26th. Please let me know.

Fall Get Together
Mark, 19th will work for me but I can't make the 26th as I'll be out of town that weekend. Any reason we can't do brunch instead of 3:30? What time do the Cubs play on Sunday? Hopefully it's a night game! If this weeks weather holds through next week, and that's a big IFFF, would be nice to get the cars out mid-day versus later in the afternoon when the temps drop into the 40-50's. If we're going to Hub Caps, I'll need directions. Hopefully we can get together on the 19th!

Hubcaps
Mark,
Are you sure Hubcaps is open on Sundays?
I'm almost positive that Strat's is open and they have a big parking lot. The Rockin Rodders of Elmhurst have their meetings
there.
During the summer they have cruise nights and the
owner is a "Car Guy ".
It is located on North ave. just west of Rte 83
on the south side of the street
west of 294 and east of 355.
Centrally located & easy to get to.
By the way the food ain't too bad either.
I just called them they'd be happy to have us
They open at 10:30 am on Sundays.
Just a suggestion.

Arcineo,
That is a good point, but didn't we meet there on a Sunday last time? In any case I will check it out. I do not have a problem moving it as long as everyone is notified in time. Thanks.

Get together
I could have sworn it was a Saturday.
I'm not suggesting changing the dates just the place.
Their # is 630-832-0453
If you want call them after lunch ask for Strat.
He's the owner.

Wow! I leave the internet for a couple of days and the next thing you know, we've got people responding! Sid- mey e-mail is ekeldahl@flash.net. make sure you add it to any club list. If you e-mail me, I'll respond with any personal info you need.
With regards to the winter party. I'll keep a calandar and people can respond with the dates that are good or bad for them. I'll mark them on the calandar and we'll pick the date that works out for the most of us. We won't be able to please everyone, but any other ideas on how we should do this are welcome.
