Volo Toys for Tots Cruise - October 17th
On October 17th, there will be a Toys for Tots Cruise hosted by Volo. There are three starting points, all ending up at Volo. It would be neat if we all cruised togeter, but having a good representation at each starting point would be just as good. Sure, it might be a little chilly, but let's go for it. Here is a link to the information...

Sounds like it could be a good time. Hopefully it won't be as cold as last years Oct. meeting at Strat's. Who's interested?

Hi everyone,
The Toys for Tots Cruise sounds like fun so I’ll be there.
I’ve always believed Toys for Tots was an admirably organization and worthy of my support. Besides, a little cold weather doesn’t frighten me and I’ll have an opportunity to find out if my car’s heater works!
Per the Toys for Tot’s website, there is a cruise starting point, 9:00AM meet/10:00AM leave, in Des Plaines. I’d like to suggest a Snake & Eggs breakfast at Mr. V’s restaurant in Des Plaines and we can caravan to meeting point.
Anyone interested?

I was looking into volunteering to help out at the Downers Grove starting point. If I am not doing this, Mr. Vs might be in the cards for me.

Tom,
Not a problem. If no one is interested in a Des Plaines Snake & Eggs, I'll meet you in Downers Grove for breakfast. Just let me know.

Downers Grove is OK with me also. Snake and Eggs sounds good. Who lives near Downers with some restaurant suggestions?

Doesn't a Tractor pull need torque? So why did he pick your car?
Oh maybe he needed some dead weight to pull with his Ford Festiva.

Sid, have you decided on B&B vs Backdraft yet? Or did you switch to something entirely different?

When I originally posted this, we knew it would probably be cold. I have been watching the weather closely and up until last night, they were calling for rain. I will deal with cold for a good charity, but the rain would be an issue. Well, the weather is clearing. My plan is to be in Downers Grove to leave from there if there is minimal chance of rain. I do not know the restaraunt situation in the area.

Michelle and I are in for Sunday morning at Downers Grove. I may bring a friend with an unusual original "Cobra." The latest weather calls for COLD but only a 30% chance of rain and not until Sunday night.
Is there a Snake n' Egger plan? If so, what time and where? Otherwise what time are you (all) planning on getting to Downers? The gathering starts at 9am and takes off at 10am. Is anybody registered? I doubt it will be a problem. Does anybody know how late the event runs? - David

I got toys from people at work(and myself!) for the event. Chris if you end up going to the event could I give you the toys to take up to Volo? If not I'll just drive them to Tom in Downers Grove. I'll call you guys tomorrow to figure this out.

OK, the updated forecast has now removed the chance of rain in the afternnon. Wish it would warm up a little, but it will still be fun!
