September Events Conflict
Arcenio, and Group...
What is the status of the Byron Drag II event?
The date (September 12) conflicts with the Britich Car Union Show in Palos Hills.
Should we consider changing the Byron date or run two club events that day?
Can we get feedback from people here....
Who's interested in:
Byron Drags II - same deal as in May of this year...
British Car Show - Including maybe a Snake&Eggs on the South side somewhere....(...Hint South-siders)
Who might do both if Byron event date is changed.

Byron Dragway
I don't think it would be much of a problem to move the date back to Sept 19th but you may be pushing the weather?
I looked on Byron's Schedule and it actually looks better for us on the 19th less scheduled but I would have to confirm that with them. I can call tommorrow as they have left for the day.
The only other posted for the 19th was the Chicago Wiseguys.
They put on quite a show.... pretty much make 11 and 10 et's
look tame. Some of their cars reach deep into the 7's....
Well guys chime in and let me know leave it the 12th?
Or try to change it to the 19th?
Please let me know your thoughts asap.
Arcenio

I'm a go for the 12th at Byron. Why don't we use the 19th as a rain date.

Conflict?
I just talked to Ron at Byron Dragway
"THE PLAYGROUND OF POWER".....
Well any way the schedule is alot more open for the
19th of September than the 12th.
Which means same enterance price but,
we get more seat time. More runs.
It is a lighter schedule for the 19th with only the
Wiseguys as the other on the schedule.
I will put out an email to see who's going ?
Feel free to chime in this thread and let me know soon.
PLEASE.... I have to let them know very soon.

What is the plan with the British car show? Are we all pre registering? Are we just going to look around? Darryl and I will work on something for Snake and Eggs. There is a Lume's pancake house a little South of Moraine Valley. I think there are also some breakfast spots on 95th and 111th along the way.

Visit or participate?

I’m a big MG fan, especially the early TC model. Suggest we meet for a South side Snake and Eggs then visit the show.

CANCEL THE STRIP ?
So does this mean that NO ONE wants to go to the strip?
It really doesn' t bother me either way,
I just have to know so I can cancel with Byron.

My schedule is open. The one concern that I have is that I have that slight oil leak at the pan. Am I going to present a safety hazard or get bounced at tech? I was really looking forward to doing some runs (would be my first time at a strip, so I would need pointers).

Gents thanks for responding.
I am going to change the date to the 19th.
However, they are asking how many are racing ?
At this point the only ones actually committed are myself and
maybe Chris Damsch.
And it sounds like Tom Boyce. (Tom you got mail)
We need eight for our own lane.
And THEY (Byron) would like to know asap.
That is why I am pushing for replys.
Thanks
Arcenio

I'm in for either day. Where's Erik? I think Arcenio scared him off.

Just happened to check this thread after several days away from CC.
Sorry, Guys, I have to work the weekend of the 19th and everybody else in the department is out of town so I can't trade.
But anyway, that's the weekend of the vintage fall festival at Roadamerica. Even if I DID have the weekend off, I'd have to ignore your trash talkin' and go watch the old cars.
