The Hot Rod Power Tour dates have been announced. June 4th, they will be leaving from Miller Park in Milwaukee, traveling to Springfield, IL. Then, it is off to Indianapolis. Anyone up for at least a couple of legs?

Sounds like it would make a great shakedown cruise b4 the Fling for those of us who may be adding some HP under the hood?

Hey Mike, whats with all of this talk about adding horse power, lets not make me do something I'm not ready for yet. I've only had my car for six weeks of driving, and Sid still does'nt have his yet! I'm not sure, but my car may be fast enough for a little guy like me! That is if I can keep Sid and his extra 180# out of his patented passenger seat.
That ride sounds like it woul be a lot of fun. You know if I have the chance /time I'll go!

I'd LOVE to go. I really wanted to do the Quad Cities-Chicago part of the HRPT last year but it rained the whole time. I'll check my work schedule and maybe I'll be able to join you guys this time.

Michael,
Say it isn't so -- I mean if you go upgrading your engine; my all stock 260 that hits on 5 cylinders (if it's not raining) will not be enough.
I will have upgraded my engine, again!! I mean, I thought it be enough when I got rid of the VW motor........
Well, I guess this is it, 'Keeping up with the Michaels'.

Seriously, What did you get? Is it DSS or the Engine Factory? EFI?
I can't wait to see. If you need help with anything give me a holler

And yea - if it is not raining a leg or two or the power tour would fit the bill nicely.

Rich

If you read my post carefully, I didn't actually Say that any more horsepower would be added in MY car. I'm still trying to find out why it won't run over 4M rpm. Perhaps the only solution to that problem would involve some uh, modifications that would make the engine run a little better. There are way too many temptations out there to exceed the limits of reason when it comes to horsepower. I'm not ready to rebuild it yet though. A three link & rear disks & a radio are definites though.
I was referring to Chris, who last was talking supercharger & of course Arsenio who really needs more boost and Sid who may be putting that 392 into his blue beast.

Red rules!

Michael

I’d like to drive the Milwaukee, Springfield, and Indianapolis legs. Let’s discuss the logistics next week during Snake & Eggs I.

No supercharger for me. I'll have to wait another year to figure out what I'm going to do.

Well Rich that is such a nice offer. Is it open to others besides Mike? Because if it is I could use some financial help. With your genorous financial donations I would be happy to have a supercharger installed on my little car so I could have the horsepower to run with the big boys {Erik, Chris, Blas, Arcinio, John, etc,) Please just make the bank deposits into my personal Swiss bank account, and thank you very much and happy hollidays to you and your very genorous family.

P.S. To all Cobra club members this nice gesture made by Rich need not just come from Rich, I would welcome anybody elses contributions also. Remember that we ( the close nit group that we are) would really like to see my car be faster than Chris's.

It's not the car or the parts in it. It's the driver technique and quick reflexes, both of which are qualities that I inherited from my mother.

Keep this one on the down low, I don't want my Dad to hear about this.

Chris
What ever you do, don't let your dad know about the Power Tour, and make sure your Mom melts the keys.

I'm thinking about doing the Springfield to Indy leg of the tour. Is there any interest? I'm not sure what time they leave to go to Indy but I'm trying to find out. I would probably stay the night in Indy and return the next morning.

Anybody else thinking of going?

We've talked about going from Milwaukee to Indy. Those of you that are interested, bring your ideas and any info you might have to the winter party. If this turns out positive we'll have to form a commitee.

Yes, Algonquin. Preferabaly a place where Marty takes all of those pictures. Either the boat docks, Cheeseburger in Paradise, the cabinet store, ...

Let the games begin

My wife caught me looking @ one of Marty's Algonquin emails,
now she won't let me drive through or near algonquin. Being that I'm under house arrest and wearing a GPS anklet she always knows where I'm at. So I'll have to pass unless someone can sneak me a hack saw or bolt cutter!
