Glen,
Mine is a Ford color - 'Royal Blue Pearl'. You are welcome to come by and see it or I could sent you a picture or two. However, pictures always look different than the real thing. I could also get you the touch-up paint color number and you could go to auto store and see it.
Are you going to put strips on the car? What color? They can definately effect the overall look when you are finished.

Mine has fairly heavy metalic content, dark blue, though there are darker blues out there.
I used the standard Chrysler "Viper Blue" as I believe it was intended to replicate the originals and presumably had input from Carrol Shelby. You will recollect the first Viper hardtops.........thats the blue.......a more difficult decision was which white to go with for racing stripes. There are some cream colors which I think are close to original. The white I chose is fairly white and a bit optic. Very bright.

Rich, I am thinking titanium stripes with the blue. I have read that the stripes are not the same width from front to back, is that true for all cars or just some Mfg. Yes, we should hook up. I would love to see your car and talk. Being a new cobra owner I have a ton of questions.
Thanks,
Glen

No, don't have the paint code, but in the paint books, it is literally in the Dodge/Chrysler section. You or your painter would look it up to match the paint on the Dodge Viper.
Have a small amount of touch up, but number not on bottle. Will do quick net search and see if I can surface.

Viper Only 4639 B5939
Viper Only 83431 B9333
Viper Only 9874 46951
Can't tell for sure. But these are PPG and Dupont numbers listed on one website....
http://robskorner.freehomepage.com/faqs/paintcodes.html
http://www.whatifmodelers.com/land/mhiott/ramvts.htm
This second site has pictures (not great) of a Dodge truck in Viper Blue and references the earlier Viper GTS
Blue (paint code PBE) and the stripes are Bright White (paint code PW7).
Presume these latter ones are accurate.

Your welcome. But make sure you verify the code in the book before you have it painted. This link indicates that the Viper is coming out again for 2006 in Viper Blue. Should be easy to document that color.

Dodge muscle debuts at the 2005 Los Angeles Auto Show
Motor Trend, January 2005
2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe
Three years after the debut of the second-generation Viper comes a sleek and sexy coupe version for 2006, mirroring the rollout strategy of the original Viper line. Dodge claims that demand for this, “uncompromising, ultimate American sports car” was present from day one of the introduction of the SRT10 convertible, and they are thrilled to give Viper die-hards just what they asked for. Adding the double-bubble roof to the convertible’s already stiff structure provides exceptional rigidity, improved aerodynamics, and likely a roadster-beating top speed. Naturally, power comes from the 8.3-liter V-10 that cranks out 500 horsepower through a six-speed transmission. Dodge knows that many current Viper coupe owners like to partake in competitive racing, and therefore engineered the hardtop model to easily accommodate a roll cage yet still allow room for driver and helmet. Best of all, after a few year hiatus in the last generation Viper GTS coupe, the blue-with-white racing stripes color scheme made famous on the '90s concept car has again returned to the list of paint options.

Glen,
My stripes are titanium. I believe it is a Corevtte color. I actually got the paint code from Superformance - it is the 'Silver' color they use.
Hey, by the way, great choice - I love the combination. I will sent you a picture of my car- it will need to be tomorrow.
I am off to watch the Super Bowl.

I like the blue shade that looks like red....
Remember. a blue car blends in with a blue sky, making rear end collisions a posibility.
Where as a red car, could be a fire truck racing to a fire and not disturbed by the police....
Also, we have considered uping the club dues fro blue cars next year....
And last but no least, Rich has a blue car, and he plays the accordian......
People will say, 'Look..there goes the accordian man" when you drive by.....
Enough said...........

Glen,
Great Choice - You'll love the combination.
And yes, the seperation is hard to take. Just wait until you get it on the street and start to really to enjoy it. Then winter comes; we all go through a period of depression.
So when can we go crusing?

Guys, I stopped by to see my baby at the shop today!
Body work is all done and just started to paint the door jambs.
My guess I should get her back middle of next week or weekend.
I also changed my mind on the color. Blas It's "RED" I think they call it "Tomato Red" with Red stripes.
OK, nobody tell him it's blue - he will never know.

Paint went on Tuesday - WOW - it's starting to look like a Cobra!
I should be able to get it home this weekend. I'm going to clean off a lawn chair, get a 30 pack of Old Style and just look at her for two days
I'll try to get some chrome on when she gets home.
I don't want her nicked - she might catch cold
