Cancel your reservations and be prepared!!!
See the DVSF thread. The Spring Fling is being relocated to Cleveland. Hotels to be announced soon. I hope there is a Hampton Inn there

OK, I just did the map from Chicago to Cleveland. Oh my, there is nothing between here and there. Should be some fun driving. I do see Goshen along the way, do not remember how far off of 80 it is, but there is a great Amish restauraunt there. Imagine pulling into an Amish town with 10 - 20 snakes!!! At least the wives could not purchase any furniture. Anyone looking for a trailer, this would be a great place to do it!
2/3 into the trip is Toledo. We will have to map out some stops and an initial meeting point.

We may want to join your "caravan", if you don't mind.
Please PM me with details. We could meet up at a rest stop and go from there. We would be coming down, out of Michigan, I75 or 23.

Toledo is a good 4 - 4.5 hrs from Chicago. Especially for those either driving their Snakes (stopping for gas all the time) or towing their cars. Between Toledo and Cleveland is Sandusky (Cedar Point Land). Nice town, good eats and a good place to rest. Then on to Cleveland! I used to live in the Toledo area and went to Cleveland quite often. Great city and plenty of places to eat & sleep. Nite life reminds me of a "little Chicago". They have their own version of Rush Street called the "Flats". It's a street full of bars right along the water. Boats will dock behind the bars and party well into the night. Don't know if that's still going on though; those were during my early years when we hung out there.
Just an FYI: Don't forget during the drive through Ohio that they have VERY strict Highway patrol officers. Some hardcore State Boys that don't like speeders, and will NOT let you go without a ticket (or 2). Be wise and be careful.

OK by me, Expedia says the Holiday Inn is booked, Might this be because Da Fling has blocked out rooms? We should decide on a preferred hotel PDQ. I messed up the Group e-mail address on my computer, can someone mass e-mail the locations to all?

I cannot do the mass e-mail from work. I would like to make the Country Suites our designated site. They have blocked rooms, so we will need to call.

The Holiday Inn is the official hub for all Spring Fling activities. The reason being location and size.

Oh, I just meant as a central hotel for the Windy City Cobra Club gang. We will gladly walk or motor to the Holiday Inn, and if members want to make the Holiday Inn our hotel of choice, I am fine with that as well. I just like the Country Inns.

If Blas is coming with you folks I'd prefer you stay at the Country Inn. Don't want another car the same color as mine in the lot to confuse me.
