Glen,
Since I am coordinating this event I will take your comments/questions seriously versus some of the other feedback you have received from my brethern. We have about five spots left for racers. If she wants to race, I need a name and $ for her.
Oh, and she has to be over 18 to race!!!! Please advise if you want her included as spots are filling up.

Default Rules????

Alright who called a meeting and decided on rules?
Blas? Marty? Frank? Rich?

Why wasn't I included in the rule making board,
after all I am one of the committee members.

I forget why did we form a committee?

Oh I know... I'll ask Marty he's in all the committees!

Hey Glen if you don't want any of our "Cobra Pals" to mess with you, ya just gotta out smart them like I do. Come to the meeting wearing a pair of lederpantyhosens or a kilt like I do and none of them will mess with ya!
With my strategy they'll be so busy checking out my legs and physique that I'll be able to blow right by them all. I'm thinking I may be able to take at least 2nd place.

Hey Sid, I reserved a cart with a passanger seat, I am counting on you to ride with me. I will need someone to drop the tacks onto the track behind our cart that should give us a slight advantage. I'm also bringing a jar of vasalene to smear on some of the other cars tires. Please don't tell any of the other guys about my plan!

Can't win, Committee's, Rules, Ballast, Condo's, Playboy Mags, Passanger seats, Kilt's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do the new guys buy dinner and drinks too?
Well, if that's what it takes to be a good club member I guess I'll do it! How long is this new member thing go on? I may have to sell my Cobra to keep up with the cost of being a new member. Wolfie - What store do you get your Lederpantyhosen at? Is it one size fits all, colors......................
One more question, when you wear your Kilt, on a gokart dose it blow up and cover your head so you can't see. I hope you wear underwear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please say it's not true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Gary, I hope I can still grab a kart for Beth, as I will be bringing her with and she would like to shame some of the boys on the track with her driving. I will send another check. See Ya Soon!

For those of us that procrastinate until it is too late, are there any seats for racing open?

The afternoon will start with a club meeting at the CIR facility at 1:00pm sharp. Expect the meeting to last about an hour as we will discuss the event calendar for 2005 and decide which DVSF venue we want to visit this summer. If you are chairing a club event this season, and your name is on the list for a event from WCCC’s October 2004 meeting at Strats, please be prepared to update everyone.

Those of you who do not want to race are free to do whatever after the meeting but you'll be missing a great time by passing up the WCCC Indoor Racing Challenge. We will attend a racing safety session with driver tips from about 2:00-2:45. We will then suit up and begin the grudge matches around 3:00pm. Racing will probably conclude around 3:45pm, just in time for refreshments...

Default Racing Registration is filled

To those of you that have not registered for racing via prior email requests nor sent me a check as requested by Friday March 25th, I'm sorry to say the 20 person field for our event is full. We're planning to do a LeManns Grand Prix type race this time where we will divide the group into 10 two person teams. Each team will be required to make a pit stop and change drivers. This way everyone will get to drive about the same amount, I'm guessing about 40 laps each which will be quite enough in one sitting.
Those that failed to register for racing, may be able to race on the other track with other patrons if CIR can accommodate. They only allow 10 carts on the track at one time so the first 20 that registered will race with the club. The two vacancies I did have on the 25th were graciously filled by a couple guests of a club member to round out the field.
Sorry about not being able to accommodate the latest (late)requests! Since the weather looks decent for Saturday, I'm assuming several of you will be bringing your prize snakes! I've asked for some reserved parking next to the lake but can't confirm that yet. Look forward to seeing everyone Saturday!

Well Gary, another great event. I never thought go karting could be that tiring. I had a great time.

By the way, my left shoulder is killing me.

Gary
Another very well run event! Thanks for taking the time to put this deal together for the club. The meeting room was nice, the racing venue was a blast, the prizes and refreshments were a big surprise, you even had parking places set aside for us!Thanks again.
Marty

Gary I have to agree with Marty, that was a great event. I thought that I was a good driver, I was humbled be the awsome driving skills of the other club members that blew by me like I was standing still and for the life of me I could not catch up to them again. I won't mention any names as we would't want their egos to over inflate.(Fred, Dave, Michelle, Chris, Marty and just about everyone else) I want to thank my racing partner Mike for the excellent job he did several times he pulled us up a few positions.
Let it be known that it was a very exhilerating experience. My body is still sore two days latter. It really beat me up.
I am looking forward to next time, but I think I will cheat and get a few hundred laps of practice under my belt before then.
